The Cities With The Most Billionaires

There are 1,820 billionaires in the world, and they live in 67 different countries. But what cities do they call home?

We tallied the world’s ultra-rich by their place of primary residence and found the top 25 cities with the most billionaires in the world. 14 of those metropolitan areas are in Asia, the U.S. and Europe are tied with six cities each, and South America has one city. Kim Kardashian's Essay when she hit back at nude photo criticism

'I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin.'

This article originally appeared on PEOPLE.com.
Kim Kardashian West is speaking out following a backlash that ensued when she shared a nude photos of herself on social media.
“I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime – and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?” Kardashian, 35, wrote on her website and app Tuesday in a post celebrating International Women’s Day. “It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!”
She goes on to write she “lived through the embarrassment and fear,” but ultimately moved on, deciding that she shouldn’t have to continue to list her accomplishments to prove she is “more than something that happened 13 years ago,” referring to her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J.
“I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin,” she writes, going on to add, “It’s 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming – it’s like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me.”
She also praises her family, saying she is “empowered” by husband Kanye West, “who is so accepting and supportive and who has given me a newfound confidence in myself.”
“He allows me to be me and loves me unconditionally,” she writes, before praising her female family members.
“The life lessons I’ve learned from my sisters, my mother and my grandmother, I will pass along to my daughter [North]. I want her to be proud of who she is. I want her to be comfortable in her body. I don’t want her to grow up in a world where she is made to feel less-than for embracing everything it means to be a woman.”
On Monday evening after sharing the photos, Kardashian went on a Twitter rant, taking on critics including Bette Midler and Piers Morgan.

'We are all born naked' - Amber Rose defends Kim Kardashian

Amber Rose may not be the biggest Kanye West fan, but she has his wife Kim Kardashian’s back through thick and thin. One month after Rose and Kardashian took a selfie together, Rose defended the reality star after her naked selfie drew negative comments online.
Kardashian was dinged by Chloë Grace Moretz, Bette Midler, and Piers Morgan for the photo, and also appeared to be the impetus for a note Pink wrote on social media about women using their bodies to get attention. Rose put Pink’s note on her Instagram, and wrote a response to the singer’s critique in the caption.
“If a grown mother of [two] is comfortable with her body and wants to show it off that’s none of [your] business or anyone else’s,” Rose wrote. “We’re so quick to down each other instead of uplifting! Pink, We’ve seen [you] damn near naked swinging from a rope (Beautifully) but what’s the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism. Because [you] sing while [you’re] half naked does that make it ‘Classy’ or is it because [you] have a ‘talent’? I’m not dissing at all Pink just curious after [you] said ‘You’ll never have to make a silly excuse for yourself’.”
Damn Pink we were all born naked society sexualizes our breast and bodies. If a grown mother of 2 is comfortable with her body and wants to show it off that’s none of ur business or anyone else’s. Now, if u wanna talk to kids and be a mentor to young teens, tell them to go to school and to not use their bodies to get ahead?! I’m all for it! But please as a grown woman let another grown woman live as she wishes. That’s our problem! We’re so quick to down each other instead of uplifting! Pink, We’ve seen u damn near naked swinging from a rope( Beautifully) but what’s the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism. Because u sing while ur half naked does that make it “Classy” or is it because u have a “talent”? I’m not dissing at all Pink just curious after u said “You’ll never have to make a silly excuse for yourself”.

Kardashian herself also responded to the criticism she received online via her website. “I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin,” she wrote. “It’s 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming – it’s like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me.”

Peter Okoye does a Single

download (9)

Peter Okoye, one half of the dynamic duo P-Square has released a new single called Looking into my eyes. This has fueled rumors that he is going into a solo career. Bands and groups splitting up is not a new thing as we’ve seen with the likes of Dbanj and Don Jazzy, The Plantation Boyz, The Remedies and so on. The list is inexhaustive, what varies is the level of success that these artistes go on to have with their solo careers.
Tu-face was the most successful of the now defunct Plantation Boyz and Black face shone briefly but hasn’t been in the limelight in eons. Going outside our shores, Destiny’s Child alumni Beyonce is a mega star and grew exponentially after she left the trio, the other two have been unable to replicate her success.
If Looking into My Eyes is anything to go by, then its safe to say Peter Okoye will be just fine. Many Nigerians aren’t happy with the purported split, but we know that once they hear good material from the solo artiste, they usually adjust pretty well.
P-Square burst into the scene way back when in 2001 with their Debut album Last Nite. They followed it up with Get Squared, their sophomore album. By now they were already household names in the Nigerian music industry.
We wish Peter all the best in his solo venture.

Being Single and Happy

khloe-kardashian-talk-show

Someone asked ‘how did you find happiness?’ I answered ‘I stopped looking, then made one for myself’ You can do anything you want, anything, it is just your mind you need to convince. Enough of the happiness talk, that is not really why we are here. Let us talk about a few things that would keep you from being sulky when you are not in a ‘serious’ relationship;
Do not make your priority finding someone
Is it just me or when you look for something you never find it, but the moment you stop looking–it comes right for you. Not everyone thinks that happiness can solely be achieved by being in a relationship. It’s honestly about priorities, maybe they have a job and don’t feel like risking it in order to be with someone in another state whom they might or might not end up with forever. There is also a possibility that they’ll come to regret their decision every time their relationship faces turbulence.
There is always a risk when it comes to relationships and these people don’t really want to go through that risk. They define happiness with so many other things such as their career or their families etc.
I am glad I do not have to commit
To be honest, I suck when it comes to keeping up, I mean, I have a life (I guess) so you don’t expect me to always remember to text or call someone or falsify emotions just to please.
Okay so let’s get something cleared up, being ‘single’ doesn’t mean that I am completely single like all of the time. There are occasional dates and flings but they may or may not be with the same person i.e. they aren’t committed. Some people don’t see the point in one person every day, every second for the rest of their lives, yes! I said it.
Trust me, I know what bad relationships can do to a person
Soldier come, Soldier go do anything you want, but don’t fall in love o (in Simi’s voice). Why do fools fall in love? Story for another day.
You may or may not agree with this but a bad relationship tends to have certain effects on you, no matter how strong you are. Even the toughest of people can suffer from a heartbreak. These people have seen all of that happening every day and not once or twice but constantly. Most single people are single because of all the things which they see around them either in person or on one of the billions of reality programs which focus on the bad aspects of a relationship. With all of that happening around them, can you blame them?
Bottom line is that some people prefer the single life over anything else. Being in a relationship is a choice; they chose not to be in one.
Do not tell me I am missing opportunities because I am Female
Arghhh. I hate when someone says, ‘you better answer that man your time is ticking’. Hate is such a strong word, I know but if you don’t have any well thought and sensible suggestion as to why I should get into a relationship–I don’t want to hear Male chauvinistic ideas. Many Females have now come to understand that they are strong and do not need to compliment anybody. Everyone as an individual should put their self first in every decision you make in life. This is your only guarantee to happiness.

Few things girls care seriously about in a relationship

by

fine girl
You know how boys go on and on about girls being over erratic at the slightest altercation? Well most girls are not like that…okay some–okay you win, maybe few.
Just like in most part of their lives, girls tend to give more attention to details in a relationship. On the other hand, men tend to focus on the more obvious details.
Here is a list of things that girls care for in a relationship more than guys.
Dates of everything matter
From the first day you meet, to the first day you held hands, to the first day you kiss… most girls have these dates stored in a compartment in their brain (how do these girls do this! lol).
Some girls will not let go of any chance to make those moments a bit more special. On occasions such as these, the artist in them comes out and they will do everything to make your day special, this might include some private time, a surprise party or cooking you a feast.
How do I look?
This is really about self-esteem if you look deep. While you might just take a bath and throw on a new pair of jeans for date night, you need to know and acknowledge the fact that it took your lady love a lot more time and effort to look good for YOU. She might have spent hours to pick the perfect dress and pair it with the perfect set of shoes. Hair, nails, makeup and jewellery had a lot of thought put into them. We do all of this because honestly we want you to be in a state of awe when you set your eyes upon us (secretly it is not about you though, we want other girls to stare *wink)
What is in your phone?
Well, personally I find it obsessive constantly wanting know what is in someone’s phone. But it is not about me, is it? So let us have the conversation about what some girls say.
We just need to know, I know it might seem like a total invasion of your private space but we absolutely need to know each and everything you do. The locks on your phone make us skeptical, we trust you, of course we do, but we love snooping around on your phone. It’s not suspicion that drives us crazy, it’s the LOVE. So let us check your phone, it’s the biggest assurance you could give us! Just do us a favour and keep it unlocked and maybe with the passage of time, maybe, we will grow over this obsession of ours.
Social media, Social threat
I am Female but I still do not understand how females find it necessary to display their FBI skills on social media… When I asked, again this is what some girls have to say.
Whatever happens on social media is a big deal for girls. From your relationship status to that person who likes your pictures, everything matters to us. Women are more social than men in general, men are habitual of keeping their troubles and achievements to themselves, while women are more prone to interact with people and discuss their lives out openly.
This may lead us to believe that any unusual changes on your social media accounts might be a red flag. As far as men are concerned, social media is the least of their worries. Men don’t care who likes their pictures or who might view the things that they post on social media. Still, if it makes your lady happy, go ahead and accept that relationship status request!
I rest my case! Note how I continually used ‘some girls’ because not every girl is part of this band wagon, so, I will like to hear your view on this.

Most women are like Kim Kardashian...the only difference is Kim gets paid- OAP Freeze

OAP Freeze wrote this post he shared on his Instagram page in defence of Kim K and the backlash she has received in the last three days over her nude picture. Read the interesting piece below...
A very close 'married' friend of mine came around the other day asking me for help. He is into construction and due to the dwindling financial situation in the country he hasn't sold a house in almost 1 year.
So he hands over his iPhone to me to show me some of the his properties asking me to scroll through his gallery. After scrolling through about about 25 pictures of houses I stumbled upon a naked 'kpekus'. I tried to quickly scroll away, but before I could my eyes swallowed another and another and another. There were an assortment of pictures of different 'bits' and 'pieces' of a woman's naked body without showing her face. A bit embarrassed, I handed his phone over to him. Without a hint of shame, he explained to me that that was his separated account manager he has been 'shagging' for a while. According to him, she has a son and she is hot!!!! As I write this, my mind's eye, I still clearly sees the expression of excitement in his eyes as he described every detail of her body (the remaining 20% I missed in the pictures) he even offered to bring her over to Chocolat Royale so I could meet his 'trophy'. 2 days later, I stepped out of a meeting in the office only to see about 16 missed calls of which 13 were from my friend. I returned his call and he complained about me not picking my phone that he was at Chocolat Royale with his 'babe' and he wanted me to meet her. So I rushed out of my office to Royale to meet them. She was sitting with her back towards the door when I walked in and I mentally tried to match the pieces I had seen on my guys phone to that of the lady in front of me and when she turned around to greet me with a smile that faded immediately she set her eyes on me! My friend must have told her he had a surprise for her or not even told her at all trying to surprise her because I guarantee that if this woman knew she was coming to meet 'freeze' she would never have agreed as she is the wife of one of my schoolmates who resides in Yankee.

Here I am, staring at my friend's wife sitting next to my other friend, who I know is an absolute freak. I know he must have dissected her body and used it to its maximum potential. My friend also never uses protection because he is quite 'endowed' and finds it uncomfortable. He is married and has a string of girlfriends. His wife may or may not have an affair and his girls are mainly university students he is 'taking care of'. Experience has shown me that most university girls dating rich men, usually have one or two 'school boyfriends' who cater to their school needs i.e. Club parties, academic issues etc. My fear for my pastor friend is that he now comes home from America once or 2ce a year and dips into a grimy pool of illnesses and issues both physical and spiritual, shared by at least 20 and as many as 50 other people, because as the saying goes, "you have slept with everyone your partner has slept with".
I am still in a serious dilemma right now, do I tell my friend or do I hold my tongue and 'save their marriage'? Anyway back to the main issue........
There are many differences between Kim Kardashian and my pastor friend's wife. One is Kanye knows his woman, this includes her abilities, shortfalls etc while my pastor friend 'thinks' he knows his wife. He is probably worshiping in the church of 'assumption' right now, thinking his wife is a good, decent girl.
The second issue is while his 'decent' wife only earns peanuts for her nudes and requires him sending her a monthly allowance from the US, Kim just paid Kanye's $53million debt.
Rewind to about a month ago when I put up a post saying I would want to have a Kimye relationship with bae he called me up, telling me, in his own words, "to stop glorifying a morally bankrupt woman and her sinful relationship". My question now, is his own relationship less sinful & more morally upright?

Over to Piers Morgan who accused Kim of being 'desperate'. Piers your last real job was in 2004 since then you have been hustling like a 2 dollar hooker. You failed in your 'attempt' to take over from Larry King & you call her desperate?

Colonialism in Africa: an evaluation with African novels

In his essay, the Ambiguous Adventure in the Cameroonian Novel: Mongo Beti’s ‘Mission to Kala’ and Ferdinand Oyono’s ‘Houseboy,’ Chikaodiri O. Okpara asserts that, the colonial experience by most African countries has emerged as an indelible landmark in the history of the continent. In Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart the white men send in missionaries to instill a religion that encourages peace at the beginning of colonization, because if they can change the fundamental beliefs of the tribe, then they can control the natives more easily.
The concept of colonialism is when a supposed stronger country rules a supposed weaker one and then establishes its trade and society there. The idea of colonization is to quietly gain a foothold in the country and then move in and take over when the country has been destabilized enough to be ruled by foreign forces. The European colonists came to Africa solely to exploit it and split its values. To a great extent, African colonization was as a result of stories told about Africa and its peoples.
As a documentation of the colonial experiences of African societies, African writers were given to creative exploration of the harsh methodology of the whites meted on African societies.
Ngugi Wa Thiong’O is one of the African writers who dealt critically with the relationship between Africa and the Western colonists. Weep Not Child deals with the Mau Mau uprising and the dispossession of an entire people from their ancestral land. This action reminds us of something: that the easiest way colonialism gained foothold on African soil was by dispossession of the continent’s values. A situation where a man comes into another man’s hut and defecates. Ngugi reveals in Weep Not Child where six men are dragged out of their houses and executed in the woods.
In reviewing colonialism in Africa, one has to bear in mind Oyono’s assertion that, ‘everybody tells his own little story about Africa to refute and demonstrate that the African is a child or a fool.’ Stories told of the continent were merely to demonstrate the primitiveness of its societies. Administrator Vidal in Beti’s The Poor Christ of Bomba sees Africa as a place filled with monsters. Hence he says, ‘…I always dreamt of an Africa filled with monsters, but the truth is far stranger than the fiction.’ To compare the fictitious belief of an Africa filled with monsters and the reality of the ‘stranger’ thing he has seen is an erroneous and gravy factor to describe the continent.
In Houseboy and The Old Man and the Medal, Oyono portrays colonialism as undermining and suppressing indigenous culture and its institutions. Meka is dispossessed of his land – or rather dispossessed himself of his land – to the colonial missionaries, as a result of the suppressing hypnotism by the colonists. ‘And now lives in a small wretched hut in the village which has given its name to the mission and lies at the foot of the Christian cemetery.’
In the extreme measures used in tormenting the natives, Gullet in Houseboy sees Africans as people with iron heads, that when he tortures them and they don’t scream, he hits them on the head with a gun. A white doctor’s conversation with Gullet about Tounde explains:
‘We’ll see about that tomorrow,’ said the white doctor.
‘Meanwhile, what about his temperature…?’
He looked at my chart.
‘…only 103 – that’s not serious for them. He won’t slip through your fingers,’ he said, to reassure Gullet. (Oyono: 121)

The white doctor’s view of the natives is on the grounds that they have extra lives, extra temperature, and that the things capable of killing the whites a hundred times cannot kill the natives. The commandant’s wife says,
You look as if you find it a drudgery. Oh of course we are very satisfied with you... you have no faults, you are always punctual, you are a conscientious worker but you haven’t got that joy one finds in African workers... you give the impression that you are doing a houseboy’s job while waiting for something else to come along. (55)
The commandant’s wife does not see the natives as people with hope. She sees them as people who are only good enough to squat on the floor while they (the whites) step on and climb to the top. Toundi finally escapes from the colonial measures into Guinea, where he meets neo-colonialism and dies. Perhaps, Oyono’s point is that Africa cannot escape entirely from the shadows of the colonial masters.
Ngugi’s Weep Not Child and Beti’s The Poor Christ of Bomba portray more on the hard measures of colonial administration. The trial of Jomo Kenyatta while protesting for his right, and his subsequent execution; Ngotho and Njoroge (a father and a son) are brutally beaten for their innocence. More so, at Bomba, the people work and die and the Father goes many times a day to confess the dying. Administrator Vidal gives Father Drumont a concept:
Absolutely! You will protect them spiritually. You will tell them: ‘My dear children, you must accept the sufferings of this vale of tears. In death, you will find your reward. (35)
Father Drumont does not accept this directly, or rather immediately, but he advises a poor old woman who has come to complain of poverty to try harder and pay her ‘church tax’ before he confesses her.
This explains the reality of the real intention of the Christian colonial missionary journey in Africa, as contained in King Leopold 11 of Belgium’s letter to colonial missionaries:
And make sure that niggers never become rich. Sing every day that it’s impossible for the rich to enter heaven. Make them pay tax each week at Sunday mass, and use the money supposed for poor to build flourishing business centres.

7 Reasons You Are Not as Successful as You Should Be

Jay-Z-as-Chief-Shawn-Ugonna-Jay-Z-Carter-600x600

If you’re not quite where you expected to be, you probably spend time wondering why.
Focus on some common causes–so you can figure out why you are not as successful as you want to be–and start addressing them.
Here are 7 common problems:
1. You don’t believe in yourself.
If you don’t believe you can succeed, you won’t make a serious attempt. Sometimes you have to make yourself believe you can do something to realize you actually can.
2. You engage in negativity.
A negative thinker sees a difficulty in every opportunity. Instead, become a positive thinker–one who sees an opportunity in every difficulty.
3. You follow the path of least resistance.
Just because you aren’t struggling doesn’t mean you’re succeeding. Every great success requires some kind of struggle. Remember, success won’t come to you–you have to go out and make it happen.
4. You’ve lost sight of your goals.
If you want to succeed, you need to set your goals high and resolve not to stop until you get there. The first step is deciding that you’re not going to stay where you are.
5. You spend too much time sitting around.
Laziness is the secret ingredient that goes into most failures.
6. You are waiting for perfect.
The real world doesn’t reward perfectionism; it rewards people who get things done.
7. You are easily distracted.
We can always find a distraction if we look for one. But distractions destroy actions. The best we can do is starve our distractions and feed our focus.

Seven Secrets of Kissing You Never Knew

legend kiss

Kissing is by far the most sensual and exciting thing you can do with another person. In a way, a kiss is even more intimate than sex.
When you’re completely engaged with another person’s face — your lips, bodies, and minds connecting — you have the potential to create a moment that’s way more intense than a few mere thrusts of the hips.
Here are 7 Tips to make every kiss unforgettable
Tip #1: Let him initiate.
Most modern men believe in a woman’s right to vote, a woman’s right to choose, and a woman’s right to take control in the bedroom whenever she feels like it. But surprisingly, when it comes to kissing, most of our guys preferred to play things more traditionally.
Tip #2: Keep your eyes wide shut.
If the kiss is worth it, then the eyes are definitely closed, you feel every bit of the sensation when you let your brain focus on your mouth.
Tip #3: Open up and say, “ahhh!”
Everyone would agree that an open-mouthed kiss is usually the most sensual.
Tip #4: Kiss with your hands.
Every good kisser knows that you need to use more than just your mouth to create a make-out session that’s unforgettable.
Tip #5: Get a little kinky.
For adventurous kissers, there are some moves you can make that will completely rock his world. Just beware — not all men are into the same things, so feel him out first.
Tip #6: Drop the balm on him.
Maintenance is key. If you know you’re heading for seven minutes in heaven, make them kissable by prepping with lip balm or gloss.
Tip #7: Choose wisely.
For a kiss to be truly great, there has to be both a physical and a mental connection between the two people.

Modern-Day Biblical Samson Emerges In Gaza

Palestinian Mohammad Baraka, 20, nicknamed by people as Gaza Samson, has knives dropped on his stomach as he exercises in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip March 5, 2016. REUTERS/Mohammed Salem

Mohammad Baraka, a 20-year-old with the Biblical nickname used a rope around his chest to pull a 15-tonne petrol tanker.
“Go Samson, go!” yelled the crowd in the Palestinian enclave, cheering on him after displaying his potential.
Baraka, who prefers to be known as “The Incredible’’, perhaps because he lacks the original Samson’s long hair, has been putting on displays in his hometown.
In the past two years, he has being earning a reputation as the strongest man of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.
“I was confident and there was power inside me which I started to develop,” said the body-builder and hotel management student.
Traffic came to a halt in Deir al-Balah during the weekend performance as motorists and children on their way to school stopped to watch Baraka perform.
He towed the yellow fuel truck. As an encore, by dragging a water tanker by his teeth for about 50 meters (yards).
Baraka also wowed his audience by lying on his back and having knives dropped on his bare stomach from a height of one meter (three feet).
Some friends used hammers to shatter bricks placed on his chest.
Kamal, Baraka’s father and a philosophy teacher said, “His power is hidden inside him, it has nothing to do with muscles and training.”
He added that some people believed in him in the beginning, others had their doubts but everyone was amazed.
Mohammad’s power can be related to the Biblical Samson who was an Israelite warrior, as in the Old Testament.
Samson toppled a Philistine temple in Gaza, killing himself and a crowd that had demanded their captured and blinded enemy be brought from prison to entertain them.

"Hey @piersmorgan never offer to buy a married woman clothes. thats on some ashley madison type shit #forresearch," Kardashian West, 35, tweeted to the television personality who earlier offered to purchase the mother of two an outfit, after he acknowledge her husband's repubted $53 million debt.

Eight killed as Fulani herdsmen attack more Benue communities

MAKURDI – At least eight persons have been reportedly killed in a fresh attack on Benue communities by suspected Fulani herdsmen who Tuesday invaded parts of Logo local government area of state.

The attack is coming on the heels of the Agatu massacre where over 300 person were killed in over one week of sustained offensive on Agatu communities by suspected Fulani mercenaries.

Vanguard learned that in this latest attack, the marauders invaded four villages including Tse Chia, Tse Nhumbe, Deghkia and Ngorukgan at about 2am, shooting sporadically and burning down houses and huts in the affected communities.
According to the source, “it was a coordinated attack on the four villages by the well armed herdsmen who stormed our villages in large number, around 2am and shooting sporadically.
“It was the sound of their gunshot that woke everyone from sleep resulting in a stampede and the gunning down and macheting of about 8 persons though the causality figure maybe more than that because many person are still unaccounted for just as scores sustained serious injuries.
“As I speak with you the affected villages have been deserted and the invaders have taken over and are razing in the ancestral homes of the people who have fled to Anyii, Ugba and Abeda towns, in their thousands, for fear of being killed.
“It’s a pathetic situation, the development has inflicted untold hardship on women, children and the elderly who are trekking long distances in search of safe haven and awaiting the intervention of security operatives.”
When contacted, the Benue state Police spokesman, Assistant Superintendent, ASP, Moses Yamu said he was yet to receive details of the development.

Rihanna's 'Work' Still At Number One, While Kelly Clarkson Hits The Top Ten

Kelly Clarkson performs at Mandalay Bay Events Center at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV on August 15, 2015.

Rihanna’s Drake collaborative single “Work” tops the Hot 100 this week for a third consecutive frame, and it is poised to stay there for a little while. The lead Anti single originally debuted at number nine, and from there it has grown every week (or remained at number one, as there is nowhere else to go but down). The track is also helping keep the album alive, as this week it is standing at number three on the Billboard 200.

Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” is steady at number two, but apparently it is pretty far behind Rihanna’s latest chart-topper. “Yourself” is the third official single from the Canadian pop star’s sixth album, Purpose, and it is his third career number one hit. The song was an international smash before it caught on here in the States, but now that it has, fans can’t seem to get enough of it.

At number three this week is Twenty One Pilots and their breakout smash, “Stressed Out”. The song, and its accompanying album Blurryface, have both become surprise hits with unexpected longevity. The album was originally released back in May, when it debuted atop the albums chart. Since then, it has continued to sell well week after week, and for a while it looked as though “Out” would make it to number one one the Hot 100, but it has been blocked time and time again, and after reaching the runner up position, it now looks like that might be its peak.

Rising one position, Flo Rida’s “My House” is now on the inside of the top five. Before this week, it had only made it as high as number five, but the track is growing. “House” switches positions with Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”, which was the second number one from Purpose. It has thus far spent its entire charting life within the top ten, and it will likely stick around for some time to come, as it is proving to be one of the biggest pop hits this year (even though it was officially released later in 2015).

Just four weeks ago, former One Direction member Zayn’s debut solo single “Pillowtalk” started its charting life atop the Hot 100, becoming just the twenty fifth track to do so in history. Since then, the song has bounced around the top ten, never leaving the territory, but also never reclaiming its throne. This week, it is at number six. Immediately behind him is rapper G-Eazy and singer Bebe Rexha. Their hit, “Me, Myself, & I” is a non-mover at number seven.

New at number eight this week is Kelly Clarkson and her latest smash, “Piece By Piece”. The song is the title track from her latest number one album, and it serves as the third official single. The pop singer performed the track on American Idol about a week ago, and the stripped down reworking was so emotionally charged that she had to stop several times to compose herself. A video of the performance went viral, and people have been buying and streaming the track ever since. With a new, piano-driven version of the track available, the song enters the chart at number eight.

European band Lukas Graham (yes, that’s the name of the group) has captured its first top ten this week by moving their song “7 Years” to number nine. The song has already become a smash in plenty of other countries around the world, and now it is getting its due here in America. Rounding out the top ten this week is DNCE’s debut hit “Cake By The Ocean”. The Joe Jonas-lead new group is enjoying real success with the dance-rock track, which has now spent several weeks within the region.

Delta deputy speaker donates N10m to students

The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, has donated N10 million to students in the state in the first tranche of his foundation’s 2016 scholarship award for post-primary undergraduate students.
The gesture, according to Osanebi, was in line with the philosophy of his foundation, which was poised to raise leaders and empower the people.
At the occasion, parents and guidance were stunned as the foundation gave out cheques and award letters to sixty 100 Level students from various institutions of higher learning in the country.
Among those that also received cheques yesterday were 40 post-primary school students, who were also given packages of textbooks and other educational materials that are to be delivered to the students in their schools.
Each of the beneficiaries received a cheque of N100, 000 each, while the best two students went home with N150, 000.
The secondary school students were represented in the award ceremony by their principals, who also collected their cheques on their behalf.
