About 4000 persons in Ebonyi State have applied for empowerment in the ongoing exercise of selecting 2,400 youths and women across the state for empowerment programme of the state government.
The state Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and job creation, Chief Sabinus Nwankwegu, disclosed this to reporters in Abakaliki Sunday.
He noted that the government decided to group the exercise which is cost free into zones to avoid stampede and assured that the selection would be done with a high level of transparency.
He debunked allegations that the names of people to be empowered had already been compiled despite asking the general public to apply and urged the public to disregard the rumour, describing it as baseless and untrue.
Nwankwegu disclosed that Governor Umahi had strictly ordered him to give all applicants equal playing field.

Muslims pray with Catholics over priest’s murder

The world needs something like this

Muslims attended Catholic mass in churches around France on Sunday in solidarity and sorrow following the brutal jihadist murder of a priest, the latest in a string of attacks.
More than 100 Muslims were among the 2,000 faithful who packed the 11th-century Gothic cathedral of Rouen near the Normandy town where two jihadi teenagers slit the throat of 85-year-old Father Jacques Hamel.
“I thank you in the name of all Christians,” Rouen Archbishop Dominique Lebrun told them. “In this way you are affirming that you reject death and violence in the name of God.”
Nice’s top imam Otaman Aissaoui led a delegation to a Catholic mass in the southern city where a jihadist carried out a rampage in a truck on Bastille Day, claiming 84 lives and injuring 435 including many Muslims.
“Being united is a response to the act of horror and barbarism,” he said.
The Notre Dame church in southwestern Bordeaux also welcomed a Muslim delegation, led by the city’s top imam Tareq Oubrou.
“It’s an occasion to show (Muslims) that we do not confuse Islam with Islamism, Muslim with jihadist,” said Reverend Jean Rouet.
The Muslims were responding to a call by the French Muslim council CFCM to show their “solidarity and compassion” over the priest’s murder on Tuesday.
Said a woman wearing a beige headscarf who sat in a back pew at a church in central Paris: “I’m a practising Muslim and I came to share my sorrow and tell you that we are brothers and sisters.”
Giving her name only as Sadia, she added softly: “What happened is beyond comprehension.”
The most poignant moment of Sunday’s mass in Rouen was the sign of peace, a regular part of the liturgy when the faithful turn to greet each other in the pews, either shaking hands or kissing.
Archbishop Lebrun used the moment to step into the congregation and greet Muslim leaders attending, as well as three nuns who were at the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray when Hamel was murdered.
Outside the Rouen cathedral a few policemen and soldiers stood guard but did not conduct searches, seeking to reassure a jittery population after the second jihadist attack in less than a fortnight.
In addition to prompting fears of fanning religious tensions in the officially secular country, Father Hamel’s murder sparked renewed recriminations over perceived security lapses.
Both of the 19-year-olds attackers , Adel Kermiche and Abdel Malik Petitjean, had been on intelligence services’ radar and had tried to go to Syria.

English champions Leicester beaten 4-0 by French champions PSG

French title winners Paris Saint-Germain brought English champions Leicester City down to earth with a comfortable 4-0 win in the exhibition International Champions Cup in Los Angeles on Saturday.
A sell-out 25,667 crowd at the StubHub Center was treated to passages of sumptuous midfield interplay as PSG gave the naive Foxes a taste of what to expect at Europe’s top table as they head into their first Champions League campaign.
PSG attacked relentlessly, playing neat triangles in midfield and looking to play mercurial Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani in through the channels while Javier Pastore whipped in dangerous crosses from the left.
The threat was largely cancelled out early on by captain Wes Morgan and his center back partner Robert Huth, with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel having little to do.
But PSG got the breakthrough in the 26th minute when Daniel Amartey clumsily brought down Jonathan Ikone in the area and Cavani sent Schmeichel the wrong way from the spot.
Leicester clawed their way back into the play with several promising attacks, including a stinging free kick from Algerian star midfielder Riyad Mahrez which PSG keeper Alphonse Areola just kept out.
But “les Rouge et Bleu” doubled their lead seconds before half-time when Thomas Meunier, who scored twice in the last ICC fixture against Real Madrid in Ohio, surged into Leicester’s box on the counter.
The 24-year-old Belgian international, who moved in the close season from FC Bruges, played a neat assist to Ikone, who slotted the ball in off the bar and beyond Schmeichel.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri and his opposite number Unai Emery made 17 substitutions between them, largely taking the tempo and purpose out of the second half.
It was over as a contest just after the hour when Maxwell sent in a cross from the left, which Lucas Moura was able to nod in after peeling away at the far post.
Ranieri said that although the result didn’t go Leicester’s way, the team had gained valuable experience ahead of its first European campaign, although the priority was the Premier League.
“The focus is to be safe and then, if it’s possible, to get experience. It’s the first time in Leicester City Football Club’s life that it is in the Champions League,” he said.
“It’s amazing. With a lot of respect, we will try to do our best.”

FG bans purchase and distribution of bags and T-shirts

The Federal Government has banned the purchase and distribution of conference bags, T-shirts and other souvenirs at events such as Conferences and Seminars funded by Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Finance, Salisu Dambatta today July 31st.
According to the statement, the ban was in continuation of the on-going cost-cutting and efficiency drive in the utilization of public funds by the present administration. The statement reads in part
“The directive which is a recognition of the fact that in a period of lean financial resources unnecessary expenditure on overheads such souvenirs are luxuries that the government must eliminate.
This will enable release of funds for infrastructure and services such as health and education that would have direct positive impact on the well being of the citizenry and promote economic development. The directive also contained specific guidelines that would reduce the cost of printing Invitation Cards, Programme of events, Brochures, Folders and Note Pads. Among the guidelines are that they should be in black and white and limited to only one page and in the case of Brochures they should be streamlined to contain only essential information”it said. Also, the statement said the printing of unnecessary publications and books of short shelf life which have no real value to the concerned public institutions or the citizens has also been banned. “MDAs were encouraged to save costs by uploading such publications on their websites which has the added benefit of wider visibility” the statement read

John Dumelo speaks on why he is still single

John DumeloRenowned Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has disclosed that most marriages fail because people go into marriage with a wrong mindset.
He said he does not intend to rush into marriage so as to avoid making mistakes.
Dumelo shared his thoughts on marriage with newsmen in Lagos.
According to him, “I have seen a lot of people talking about marriage, a lot of people getting into marriage early, and divorcing early.I think people just love the idea of marriage but don’t know how to stay in marriage.
“They like the idea of love but don’t have the idea of how to stay in love or be in love, so since I have some followers, I decided to put it in writing and advice people not to rush into marriage because your friends or cousins are getting married or because you want to have beautiful wedding pictures.
“Marriage is making it work and that is what is failing a lot of marriages these days because people go into it with the wrong mindset.
“These reasons are why I am taking my time before getting married and of course, there are plans of getting married soon.”

an has brutally killed his two sisters on the eve of their weddings in Pakistan’s central Punjab province, police said on Saturday.
It is the latest case of so-called “honour” killings in the country.
According to an AFP report, Kosar and Gulzar Bibi, aged 22 and 28, were shot dead by 35-year-old brother Nasir Hussain on Friday as they prepared to marry men they had chosen themselves, senior police officer Mehar Riaz revealed.
It was gathered that the man shot his sisters because he does not support their marriage and had wanted the women to marry someone within the extended family, he added.
“The brother shot dead both the sisters yesterday and fled the site,” the officer said, adding that a search was underway. It is a simple case of killing for honour,” he said.
Father of the family, Atta Mohammad told reporters that Hussain had “destroyed everything”.
“He ruined my family, he destroyed us, he destroyed everything” Mohammad said.
Each year, hundreds of women are brutally murdered under the pretext of defending family honour. Just some days ago, a popular social media starlet, Qandeel Baloch was strangled to death by her brother who said he was “not embarrassed” to have killed her.

Woman destroys pastor husband's property for cheating

Angry woman destroy pastor husband's property for cheating, man says "culture allows him to marry 4 women"

An aggrieved woman who accused her husband of infidelity went on a rampage and destroyed his café in Ukunda, Kwale County, Kenya in a fit of fury. On Saturday morning Mrs. Ruth Nyaga, accompanied with her friend, stormed her husband’s restaurant situated at Kona Ya Chafu area and started throwing tables and chairs, bottles in the air – and any other object of value that came to sight, forcing dining customers to flee for safety.

Mrs Nyaga said her husband, who is also a pastor, has abdicated his responsibilities, adding that she is now demanding that her husband of 20 years does the honourable thing and introduces his lover formally if he has intentions of marrying her.
"I inquired from my husband if he had completed putting up the cafeteria. He was shocked that I knew of his secret investment. Angry at me, he questioned who informed me about his underground project," the aggrieved woman told eDaily.
Ms Nyaga told Citizen Digital that her husband has been using proceeds from the café for the upkeep of the woman and has even built her the business.
"If only my husband had informed me of his clandestine activities, I would not have resorted to doing what I did. I would have warmly welcomed his second wife,” added Mrs. Nyaga.
"Marrying a second wife is not a problem, but he should come with that woman and tell me this is my second wife," Mrs Nyaga added.
On his part, the unapologetic pastor at New Apostolic Faith Church said that his culture allows him to marry up to four women, noting that he had done nothing wrong.
"I am from the Tharaka community so I can marry up to four wives, even your dad has two wives," he said.
As the couple went through the embarrassing public show, petty thieves were taking advantage of the situation to make away with whatever they could lay their hands on. Mrs. Nyaga also accused her husband of "enslaving" their son at the hotel – only for the proceeds to benefit the other woman.
"He took my son and employed him as a handyman. He recently fired him, claiming that the boy stole KSh500 from the hotel. I am very bitter at him (husband). We have three children together. The first born is 20, the second born is 14 and the last born is 10."
A member of the church where the pastor ministers said that it was unfortunate that their leader who should be showing them a good example was involved in such a case
"He is the pastor at New Apostolic Faith Church and should be showing us a good example," she said.
An eye witness described the scene as embarrassing, adding that the man’s life was in danger because both women showed up with knives, adding that the couple could have settled the dispute at home instead of such a public show.
"To tell you the truth we men have more than one woman, but they should have settled the dispute in their own home," he said.

UN suspends aid in Nigeria’s Borno state after attack on convoy

UN suspends aid in Nigeria’s Borno state after attack on convoyThe United Nations has temporarily suspended aid deliveries in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Borno, the former stronghold of jihadists Boko Haram, after a humanitarian convoy was attacked, the U.N. children’s agency UNICEF said on Thursday.
UNICEF said in a statement that unknown assailants attacked the convoy on Thursday as it returned to Maiduguri from delivering aid in Bama, injuring a UNICEF employee and an International Organisation for Migration contractor.
“The United Nations has temporarily suspended humanitarian assistance missions pending review of the security situation,” it said.
Nigerian army spokesman Sani Usman said troops were escorting the humanitarian convoy when it was attacked by “suspected remnants of Boko Haram” and that two soldiers and three civilians were wounded.
Nearly a quarter of a million children in Borno suffer from life-threatening malnourishment and around one in five will die if they do not receive treatment, UNICEF said earlier this month.
Medecins Sans Frontieres said on Wednesday that severely malnourished children were dying in large numbers in northeast Nigeria, where food supplies are close to running out.
By 2014, Boko Haram controlled territory nearly the size of Belgium in northeast Nigeria until most of it was recaptured last year by the Nigerian army and troops from neighboring countries.
More than 15,000 people have been killed and at least 2 million displaced by Boko Haram’s insurgency in Nigeria. The group has carried out suicide bombings in northeast Nigeria and neighboring Cameroon, Niger and Chad.

Man cuts off wife’s hand over alleged adultery in Abia

A man identified as Jacob Nwachukwu has reportedly cut off his wife’s left hand over an allegation of infidelity at Abala in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
It was gathered that the victim, Nwadiokeonu Nwachukwu, is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital in Aba, while her severed hand had been taken to her husband’s village at Abala for burial.
A female co-tenant of Mrs. Nwachukwu, who pleaded anonymity, told Southern City News that the couple had lived in the city for years before the husband lost his job and had to relocate to the village, leaving his wife, a trader, in the city.
She said, “The couple had always quarreled any time the man visited his wife in the city, to the extent that all the tenants are aware and intervened in their quarrels.”
It was gathered that the husband visited his wife on the fateful day and during their usual quarrel, brought out a machete, cut off the wife’s hand and left with it to the village while neighbours rushed her to the hospital.
The source alleged that Mr. Nwachukwu’s intention was to kill his wife with the machete but missed the target as the woman was said to have used her hand to defend herself before it (hand) was severed.
The wife’s suspected lover is said to be on the run while her landlord reported the incident to a police station close to the hospital along Ogbor Hill, where the woman is currently on admission.
While responding to a text message, the Area Commander, Aba Police Command, Mr. Peter Wabara, said the incident had yet to be reported to him.
But a police officer at Ogbor Hill Police Station confirmed the incident and said investigation into the matter had commenced.

Navy impounds 600,000 liters of illegally refined diesel

The Central Naval Command, Yenagoa, on Saturday said it seized a vessel laden with 600,000 litres of suspected illegally refined automotive gas oil also known as diesel.
A statement issued by Lt. Cdr Edward Yeibo on behalf of the command’s Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) said that two of the four suspected oil thieves were arrested while loading the barge with diesel.
He further reiterated the Navy’s Zero Tolerance to crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, illegal oil bunkering and other sundry crimes in the Niger Delta Region.
According to him, the operation, which led to the arrest of the suspects, was in line with the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas’s strategic directive to the Navy.
He quoted the Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH Commodore Habib Usman, as saying that a barge and five wooden boats laden with about 600,000 metric tonnes suspected to be illegally refined Automated Gas Oil and 2 suspects were arrested.
Usman said the suspects were arrested by the Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH around Beama community in Nembe Local Government Area in the waterways within Bayelsa.
The wooden boats were suspected to be used to convey the illegally refined Automated Gas Oil from the refining points to the barge for loading.
“As of the time of the arrest one of the boats had finished trans-loading its product into the barge.
“Consequently, the personnel of Forward Operating Base FORMOSO with gunboats and tug boat towed the barge to its jetty for further investigation.
“However, the wooden boats were destroyed, the two suspects are in custody for preliminary investigation and prosecution,” Yeibo was quoted in the statement.
He added that the FOC, CNC Rear Admiral Mohammed Garba had assured that the Navy will make the sea lane of communication accessible for all legitimate users and frustrate maritime criminalites in its Area of Responsibility.
According to him, there is no hiding place for crude oil thieves as the Navy will continue to sustain patrols in the maritime environment.

We’re going to stop migrants from coming to the US – Trump

We’re going to stop migrants from coming to the US – Trump
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump traded insults at opposite ends of the country Friday, taking their fight for the White House to rival battleground states and portraying starkly different visions of America.
One of the most divisive US campaigns in modern history is entering a new chapter with Republicans and Democrats having selected their nominees, leaving the candidates slogging it out before election day on November 8.
Clinton followed her historic acceptance speech on Thursday as the first woman presidential nominee for a major party with a rally in Philadelphia before embarking on a bus tour of Rust Belt states Pennsylvania and Ohio.
In Colorado, a key western state, her Republican opponent promised “no more Mr Nice Guy.” He trashed Clinton’s speech as “average,” called her a liar and promised to end the migration of Syrian refugees.
“I’m starting to agree with you,” the 70-year-old told supporters chanting “lock her up, lock her up” in Colorado Springs. “I’m taking the gloves off,” he said. “Just remember this Trump is going to be no more Mr Nice Guy.”
Just over 100 days before the election, Americans are being asked to choose between two sharply polarized visions — and between two monumentally unpopular candidates.
“I can’t think of an election that is more important, certainly in my lifetime,” Clinton told supporters at the rally in Philadelphia.
The 68-year-old Democrat portrays Trump as a threat to democracy, and is seeking to both woo moderate Republicans repelled by the former reality TV star and shore up a coalition with progressives on the left of her party.
– ‘Peachy keen’ –
“Donald Trump painted a picture, a negative, dark, divisive picture of a country in decline,” she said.
“I’m not telling you that everything is peachy keen — I’m telling you we’ve made progress, but we have work to do.”
She promises to focus on parts of the country that have been “left out and left behind” — constituencies where declining living standards, fears about safety and lost jobs have fueled support for Trump.
Trump, who has never previously held office, portrays himself as the law and order candidate — the outsider who will shake up an out-of-touch Washington, restore jobs, cut the deficit and end illegal immigration.
“This country, if they choose her, this country will not be in good shape,” Trump told ABC News on Friday.
“She doesn’t know how to win, she’s not a winner,” he said in an excerpt of the interview set to air Sunday.
In Colorado, Trump goaded Clinton on her failure to hold a news conference since December and accused her of lying to the FBI over its investigation of her email scandal as secretary of state.
“We’re going to stop the Syrian migrants from coming into the United States,” he said referring to the killing of a French priest, whose attackers proclaimed allegiance to the Islamic State extremist group.
Trump’s campaign released a new ad Friday claiming that in Clinton’s America “things get worse” with taxes going up, terrorism spreading and voters losing jobs, homes and hope.
“Change that makes America great again,” the video promised.
– Negative partisanship –
Clinton needs to win over some of the disgruntled working class voters that form the backbone of Trump’s base. She has blasted Trump for making so many of his products overseas, and for alienating women, Hispanics and Muslims.
Clinton — accompanied by her husband Bill, and her running mate Virginia Senator Tim Kaine and his wife Anne Holton — is on a campaign tour of so-called Rust Belt states, vital parts of almost any strategy to garner the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency.
The candidate and her team were moving in Pennsylvania in a convoy of more than two dozen vehicles, including two large buses with the campaign slogan “Stronger Together” emblazoned on the side in giant letters.
Clinton stopped at a toy factory in the town of Hatfield, underlining the priority that she would give to manufacturing jobs. Then the convoy proceeded to an afternoon outdoor rally in the town of Harrisburg.
Experts predict that “negative partisanship” — voting against a candidate — will play a major role in deciding who makes it to the White House.
Clinton’s unpopularity is second only to Trump’s, with a disapproval rating of 55 percent compared to his 57 percent, according to recent averages.
Ratings from Nielsen showed that 2.2 million more people had tuned into watch Trump’s acceptance speech last week than Clinton’s on Thursday.
When it comes to voter intentions, Trump and Clinton are in a statistical dead heat, according to the most recent poll average from RealClearPolitics.

Pogba arrival would boost Rooney - Yorke

Pogba arrival would boost Rooney - Yorke

The ex-Manchester United striker believes the France international would allow the club captain to flourish, should he complete his move to Old Trafford as expected
Wayne Rooney would be a key beneficiary of Paul Pogba's expected move to Manchester United, according to Dwight Yorke.
Goal understands Pogba is on the brink of completing a world-record switch back to the club he left four years ago as Jose Mourinho seeks to lead United back into Premier League title contention.
And Yorke, a treble winner during a four-year spell at Old Trafford, believes captain Rooney would stand to gain the most from Pogba's arrival.
"Hopefully, with the acquisition of Pogba coming into the team, he [Rooney] doesn't have to worry about coming looking for the ball. The ball will finally come to him," Yorke told Sport360.

"I can see why Mourinho said 'listen, he's going to be playing up top', because that's where Rooney is good. That's a specialist position.
"When you play in that position all the time, your mindset is like that. He doesn't have to go looking for the ball now. I think that's part of Mourinho's plan."
Rooney has been tried in a central midfield position for club and country, but Mourinho has underlined his intention to play him higher up the pitch.
He will form part of a strengthened United attacking unit that now also features Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Why most women are not sexually satisfied by Tunde Ajaja

Sex has been described as one of the activities that boost closeness in marriage, but the lack of it, or its inadequacy, can equally be detrimental to the success of union.
This all-important activity is so vital that marriage counsellors and psychologists often advise couples not to joke with it, for the sake of keeping their homes together, even if they have to prepare a timetable for it, so that the needs of both parties can be well taken care of.
Meanwhile, sex is only good when the two persons enjoyed the act and reached climax (ejaculation for men and orgasm for women), but findings have shown that in most cases, men reach orgasm in about 95 per cent of their sexual activities while about 25 per cent of women reach orgasm in their sexual encounters.
Mrs. Motun (surname withheld) is one of such women who could count how many times she has reached orgasm on her fingers; even with that, she won’t go far on the first five fingers.
“And you know the irony there, my husband and I have sex at least thrice a week, but he’s the only one who enjoys it,” she told our correspondent.
She continued, “Perhaps there is something wrong somewhere. It has almost become a norm and it is an issue you can’t talk to anyone about, so as not to be labelled as being wild. After two to three minutes, my husband ejaculates and that is the end. And the most annoying part is that he sleeps off shortly after. It can be so annoying.
“Initially, I thought it was normal, but while interacting with people, I found that a woman can also reach orgasm. Maybe because I didn’t have experience about sex before I married, so I didn’t know much about it. The situation has made me to lose interest in sex because he puts me in the mood and leaves shortly after.”
Out of frustration of being left hanging after every sexual activity, Motun confronted her husband on the need to satisfy her as well, but was shocked when her husband told her “I’m trying my best.”
Mosun, a mother of one, is one out of millions of women who rarely or never reach orgasm, as evidenced by the responses of women who spoke to Saturday PUNCH. It wasn’t an issue many of them were willing to talk about, because it is considered a taboo for women to discuss such a topic in public, but those who spoke to our correspondent expressed their frustration and more importantly, the fact that they are helpless.
Even though reaching climax or not has no impact on women’s ability to conceive, it has a lot of impact on how much they enjoy sex.
It is therefore helpful to decipher why many women don’t reach orgasm.
Here is the reason. Men are able to reach orgasm quickly because the nerves that trigger that intense pleasure are located in the glans (the rounded part forming the head of the penis), thus, its stimulation, usually through rubbing the vaginal walls during intercourse, helps them to ejaculate in ‘record’ time.
But for women, those nerves that should drive them to reach orgasm are not really in the vagina where they can be stimulated during sex; they are located in the clitoris, which is located at the anterior end of the vulva, or say towards the north (upper) part of the vaginal opening.
Due to the location, the clitoris, which is female’s most sensitive zone, is usually not directly stimulated by the penis during intercourse. Thus, a large number of women are not able to climax, even if the sexual act lasts for a longer time.
According to previous studies, sexual activity is usually between 33 seconds and 13 minutes, and understandably, some men could take longer before they ejaculate, but regardless of the length of time, a number of women may still not reach orgasm.
Therefore, it is for no hidden reason that women who are unable to reach orgasm get to that destination when their clitoris is stimulated by mere hand, simply because that is where the nerves are.
According to a consultant endocrinologist, Dr. Olamoyegun Michael, the primary reason women don’t reach orgasm through penetrative sex is the inadequate stimulation of the clitoris by the male organ during sex.
He said some women actually do reach orgasm but that a significant percentage of women don’t reach that peak and that it is as a product of so many factors. He said even among those who claim to reach that level, some fake it to satisfy the man or not to puncture his ego.
He added, “Clitoris is located at the upper part of the vagina wall. And because of that location, penetrative sex may not drive it to orgasm in some women, unless you use some other means.
“However, some women can reach orgasm through penetration, depending on the experience of both of them, how roomy the woman is, how big the man is, the technique and some other factors. So, it is not hidden that clitoris can affect their ability to reach orgasm or its frequency.
“That is why in the olden days, when women were circumcised, which is the removal of the clitoris, the belief was that those who were not circumcised could be promiscuous, and that goes to show that the clitoris is very sensitive and is important in female sexual satisfaction.”
He explained further that the clitoris can be likened to a man’s glans, noting that contrary to some beliefs, clitoris does not grow with age. He said the clitoris only expands in size when stimulated due to the increased blood flow.
He stated, “It is not that clitoris grows with age and it doesn’t mean that the size of the clitoris in a 10-year-old is the same with that of a 35-year-old. No. It grows, but that increase is related to stimulation.
“Just as it is in men, when the male organ becomes more turgid during sexual intercourse due to the increased blood flow, the same thing happens to the clitoris. When it is stimulated, blood flow to that part increases and it expands the size, length and its sensitivity. And the rate at which it will expand varies from one person to another, just as some women release fluid in their genitals after reaching orgasm while some don’t.”
Overall, Olamoyegun maintained that when it comes to penetrative sex, the penis may not reach the clitoris well enough, because of where it (clitoris) is located, but that through other means, like manual stimulation, women may find it easy to reach orgasm.
Notably, there are many routes to sexual satisfaction (orgasm), including stimulation of nipples, the earlobes and kissing. And once the woman’s erogenous zone is explored during that activity, it takes them to that destination.
But given these options, some women still do not reach orgasm. Olamoyegun explained that women who have previously been sexually abused, or are being abused or maltreated by their husbands may find it difficult to reach orgasm and those who are frigid (inability of a female to respond to sexual stimulus) may find it difficult to reach orgasm because of their past experience.
He noted that those who have worries, challenges and those who have financial issues may also find it difficult to climax because of their state of mind.
He added, “Some women are frigid and such people are usually tensed. Thus, they don’t enjoy sex, let alone have orgasm. That could be a product of previous sexual abuse or rape. It is the same experience when the woman is being abused by the man. In addition, there are other medical conditions that can cause it, like diabetes, but there are drugs that can help that now.
“Then we have economic factor, which also applies to men. When there is no money, sex might be the last thing on his mind. So, for a woman too, if there are domestic or other issues on her mind, sex might not appeal to her.”

Here are the 7 kinds of orgasms you can give her.
Female Orgasm play Female Orgasm

1. Clitoral orgasm

This is the most common type of orgasm and the easiest to achieve. The clitoris has at least 8,000 sensory nerve endings making it one of the most sensitive spots on a woman’s body.

2. G-spot orgasm

Hitting the G-spot is the second most effective way make a woman orgasm. Stimulating the area with your penis during sex does the job, or making a come hither motion with your finger.

There are two sphincters at the base of the anus that expand and contract during orgasm. Make sure to use plenty of lube and try stimulating the butt with anal sex or a toy.

5. Cervical orgasms

Unfortunately only guys with larger schlongs will be able to give a woman a cervical orgasm – which can be an intense feeling that flows through the body.
Be careful when experimenting though as hitting the cervix too hard can be painful and sometimes cause bleeding.

Sometimes known as the U-spot or P-spot, it’s a small area of sensitive tissue around the urethral opening. Try gently caressing the area with a finger in the same way you would the clitoris.
But be warned, the area is prone to infection so keep things clean when playing around.

The brain is the largest sexual muscle in the entire body and just your thoughts alone can drive you wild.

Extend the foreplay

Even science agrees that foreplay is very important when it comes to sex. Foreplay gives women time to create sufficient vaginal lubrication, which makes intercourse more pleasant for everyone. So, let your man know that you need that extra time to get turned on.

Experiment

It is important and beneficial for couples to try new things in bed from time to time. You cannot truly know what sexual acts get you off if you keep doing the same thing everyday. Besides, if your routine sex acts does not make you cum, then you definitely need to see what else is out there. Even the act of trying something new and kinky can be exciting.

Get wet

When it comes to sex, you can never have too much lube. Do not depend on your vaginal lubrication alone. Use sexual lubricants and have your partner be generous in its application. This makes orgasm way more likely because it reduces intensity of friction.

Give/take directions

It is important to let your partner know what feels good and vice versa. Even hearing your partner tell you how hot he finds what you are doing can be a turn on. So, as you excite him by telling him what you want, you should encourage him to tell you what feels good too.

Go slow

Quickies have their place, of course, but there's something to be said for an evening of slow seduction Occasionally delaying the pleasure can lead to better orgasms because they have a better buildup. The end result will be worth the wait.

Amaechi: I might step away from government

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amechi has said that he might put his political career on hold after serving his current ministerial term.

Rotimi Amaechi

Lamenting what he described as “deliberate attempt” to link public office holders to corruption, Amaechi said he did not steal money from the Rivers State treasury throughout his term as governor.
The Minister, who stated this at a meeting on corruption organised by the ministry of justice, denied allegations levelled against him by his successor, Nyesom Wike, that he received over N3.1 trillion during his tenure.
“I feel that after this ministerial appointment, I should do everything possible to stay away from government because in spite of all the forms of transparency I introduced in government, one man could begin to tell lies to Nigerians and Nigerians believe him,” he said.
“The governor of Rivers state said I squandered N3 trillion. I did not receive up to N1.8 trillion as governor both from IGR and funds from federal allocation. So, how could I have squandered money I did not even receive in the first place? You can see the politics of lies and lies.”
Amaechi said he prioritised transparency when it came to public funds during his administration, adding that  he ensured the people of Rivers were periodically briefed on  how funds were being spent.
He said under him as governor, the state became the first to implement the bureau of public procurement (BPP) act.
He added: “If you had followed the Rivers state government when I was governor, we were the first state to introduce the public procurement law in the country. The state cabinet used to call the director-general of public procurement in the state as an alternative governor, that they wanted an amendment to that law,” he said.
“The reason they wanted amendment is that he (DG) refused to increase the threshold to one hundred million naira, per ministry, instead he reduced it to 10 million naira.
“I had a battle with him (DG BPE) and the world bank who insisted that we should not go for an amendment but should persuade him to increase the threshold. I remember the cabinet tried to go to court against him and I remember that he was also trying to go to court against commissioners.
“In fact, the procurement DG wrote a memo that I felt was very incriminating requesting that since the law requires the governor to take any commissioner who doesn’t comply with the public procurement law to court, I should please take the commissioner of education to court for not complying… Everybody in the cabinet felt that he was an alternative governor, they felt that he was slowing the process.”

Amaechi and Wike had on Tuesday, July 26 entered into a peace deal brokered by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Alhaji Musa Daura, to allow a violence-free rerun legislative election in Rivers.

Man rapes church member after her birthday party

Omole estate

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old man, identified only as Damilola, for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on Omole Estate, in the Ojodu area of the state.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the victim, Favour (pseudonym) and Damilola were members of a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the woman had invited the suspect to her birthday party on Tuesday, July 19.
Favour, a National Diploma holder and fashion designer, was allegedly told by the suspect five days after the birthday party that he had a surprise gift for her.
The two were said to have gone to Damilola’s apartment on Otubor Street on Omole Estate.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspect raped the victim in his room.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Favour reported the matter at the Ojodu Police Division and Damilola was arrested.
The incident was also reported at the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, Alausa.
A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that Damilola had failed to show up at the victim’s birthday party and allegedly lured her to his house a week later.
She said, “Damilola and the lady were church friends. The lady had her birthday on Tuesday, July 19, and she invited all youths in the church who were her friends. Damilola, however, did not come. He, thereafter, called her to apologise and promised to make it up.
“On the following Sunday, Damilola called her that he had set up a makeup party and that the two were going to a restaurant. However, he took her to his house in the estate, and locked her up. He beat her up and raped her.
“When the lady regained her freedom, she reported the matter at the police station. On Monday, she, accompanied by other church youth executive, went to the DSVRT office in Alausa to make another report.”
The DSVRT Coordinator, Lola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the victim had been taken for medical tests.
She said, “The suspect allegedly gave the victim multiple slaps and instructed her to pull off her dress. She was crying and begging. The victim later gave in and Damilola raped her.
“The DPP has requested the duplicate case file. The victim has been referred to the Mirabel Centre, Ikeja, for necessary tests. The suspect has yet to get a full-time job. He is into entertainment business.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest, adding that the matter had been transferred to the police gender unit.
She said, “The case has been transferred to the gender unit of the command for further investigation.”
