Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo closing in on Valencia move

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly closing in on a move to Valencia.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window next summer as Jose Mourinho looks to trim his squad.
The Argentine, who has not featured in any of United's matches so far this season, is deemed surplus to requirements by the manager.
Deporte Valenciano reports that Valencia have opened talks with United over a possible €12m (£10.3m) deal, with the Spanish club's owner Peter Lim enjoying a good relationship with the Red Devils.
That would see United make a loss on the figure they paid for Rojo just two years ago, but the club are understood to be willing to take a financial hit in order to get him off their books.
Any move for Rojo to Valencia could also see Shkodran Mustafi complete his switch to Arsenal.

Manchester United transfer news and rumours: Jose Fonte updates, Phil Jones latest

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has just nine more days to sort out the incomings and outgoings before the transfer window slams shut for four months.
"I don't comment. I don't care," he said when asked about the possibility of signing Southampton defender Jose Fonte last week. "The market is open until the 31 of August. I keep saying I am very happy with the players I have. I don't speak."
United are understood to want to sell Marcos Rojo, while Phil Jones appears to be interesting Stoke manager Mark Hughes. If both were to depart and Fonte came in, that would leave Mourinho with a 25-man squad, unless he drafts in Axel Tuanzebe as the fourth central defender.
Tuanzebe, 18, is yet to make his senior competitive debut but has excelled in both of the Under-23s' fixtures this month and looks ready for senior football. He could appear for the juniors at Southampton tonight.
