A 25-year-old bride, Sophie Cachia set a new trend by opting for a black dress for her day.
The gown which was of a beaded design was made by Anthony Montesano from Signor Mont Couture and ha gone viral on the internet sphere.
Sophie speaking on her choice said she “wanted to wear what she wanted to wear”.
She further got her bridesmaids to go along with the colour as they were all dressed in black and her groom wore a maroon blazer, paisley shirt and a casual pair of black jeans.
“I think it suits me and it’s such a bold and striking colour.
“We didn’t do it for anyone but us, we wanted to wear what we wanted to wear, simply as that.”

Speaking on her husband’s reception of the unconventional move, she said: “Everyone has a wedding, why does everyone have to do everything the same? There’s no rule book.
“I didn’t do it for attention, or to be known as the girl who wore a black dress on my wedding day. I just wanted to wear a dress I think is beautiful.”
