Women
are very concerned about how they look, so let me tell you the pieces
to invest in that will ensure your look is always on fleek!
Have a smell
A woman should have her own personal scent. Some women don’t like perfume but that’s not a good excuse not to smell good. There are alternatives ladies, find a lotion, body spray, oil or body wash that smells good and make that your signature scent. Thank me later.
The little black dress darling
Every woman knows they should have a little black dress, but the most important thing is investing in one that flatters every inch of your body. When in doubt, go for a little black dress. Before a night out in the town every girl spends at least an hour debating over what to wear – which is where the trusty little black dress comes in! It is important to get the best fit and style so the dress is indeed trusty.
The classic blue jeans
Another classic like the white shirt is the pair of classic blue jeans. Fitted, versatile and high on the comfort quotient, blue jeans fit in with every season and every kind of outfit – moreover they can also transition from casual to formal in a millisecond!
The sexy white shirt
A pastel or white shirt is one of those evergreen classics which will never go out of style. This too can be versatile and can help you work the look in an office environment or even a casual night out. Most women prefer a blouse which is slightly fitted because something that is too loose could make you look boxy and that’s definitely something you do not want!

Nation Of Islam Vows To Offer Beyonce Security If Police Refuse

So far, Miami, Tampa and Tennessee police have begun boycotts against volunteering to work at the “Formation World Tour,” as well as purchasing tickets. But one person has promised Queen Bey the protection she needs despite the dissent she has garnered: Minister Louis Farrakhan.
In a rousing keynote speech for Religious Group – the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day 2016, Farrakhan commended Beyonce for taking her stance, and taunted her detractors for becoming offended. Likening the struggle of American blacks to that of The Holocaust, Farrakhan called for the same sympathy in both injustices.
“She started talking all that black stuff, and white folks were like, ‘We don’t know how to deal with that.’ Well you taught us everywhere we went about The Holocaust, but we had sympathy for you. But when one of us shows some independence, look at how you’re treating Beyonce now.”
In response to police boycotts against the singer’s tour, Farrakhan insisted that Fruit of Islam, the Nation of Islam’s security sector, will handle the job.
“You’re gonna picket, you’re not gonna offer police protection, but the FOI will,” he said.
Village head arrested for defiling, infecting girl with HIV
The Director General of the board, Dr Abba Sufi, who disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Tuesday, also said the Village Head was suspected to have infected his victim with HIV virus.
He said the suspect was arrested on Monday following complaint from parents of the girl.
Sufi said the case had since been forwarded to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II who ordered for his immediate suspension from office.
“The girl was to be given out in marriage to her suitor, but three days to the wedding ceremony, the girl was tested and found to be HIV positive.”
He said that the suspect had also been tested and found to be a carrier of the deadly virus.
Sufi said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
About 20,000 people apply for 8 NASA jobs
It is likely to be the toughest recruitment process of all time.
NASA has revealed it has had a record number of applications to become one of its astronauts.
Some 18,300 people have put themselves forward to work for the space agency – more than double the previous record of 8,000 in 1978.
The boost is partly thanks to a social media recruitment push, and also likely linked to an increased interest in space travel as the prospect of landing humans on Mars edges closer.
NASA is only looking for American citizens with at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological science, physical science, mathematics or computer science.
From the whittled-down list, it will shortlist a couple of hundred people to interview.
Those will be eventually narrowed down, with just eight to 14 roles up for grabs.
They will train to fly to the International Space Station on capsules which are being developed by SpaceX and Boeing.
They could also fly on NASA’s Orion spacecraft intended for deep-space exploration.
The agency wants to send astronauts to Mars in the 2030s.
Bank customers in Kwara express frustration over ATM cash dispense errors
The customers, who spoke with a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Monday, condemned the high incidence of cash dispense errors from the machines.
The customers told NAN that many bank customers had lost money due to the malfunctioning of the machines which often took many days to correct.
NAN observed that the machines will display messages like “Temporarily unable to dispense cash”, “The issuer is not operative,” and “Out of service” on many occasions.
A bank customer, Mr Dayo Tobiloba, said his account was once debited despite the fact that one of the ATMs did not dispense money to him.
“I was rushing to the airport to book a ticket with an airline, so I withdrew money. When I got to the airport, I received another debit alert of N5, 000 and on my way back to the bank I received yet another N10, 000 debit alert.
A student, Miss Funsho Adetunji, said she tried to withdraw the sum of N20, 000 from one ATM, but the machine did not pay.
“I wanted to withdraw N20, 000 using my other bank ATM at a bank. My account was debited with the sum, but the machine did not dispense money,” she said.
Adetunji said the sum of N19,000 was returned to her after a week, but N1, 000 was charged for the interbank transaction.
Adetunji said that she was refunded N19, 000 after a week as they said the N1, 000 was charged for the interbank transaction.
A graphic artist, Alhaji Yusuf Gold, said the ATM at the Sawmill Area branch of an old generation bank under dispensed cash to him.
“I went to the ATM at Saw Mill area to cash the sum of N25, 000, but the ATM dispensed N23, 000.
“I immediately I raised the alarm and the security officer present there took me into the banking hall where I showed evidence of the transaction and the error was reversed,” he said.

We are fighting for three trophies – Van Gaal
Manchester
United boss, Louis van Gaal, has said that they are in the fight for
three trophies this season, after they hammered Shrewsbury 3-0 in the FA
Cup on Monday night. The Red Devils breezed into the quarter-finals of the competition, thanks to goals from Chris Smalling, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.
Van Gaal was delighted with United’s display, after recording two straight defeats.
“Everybody shall say it was against Shrewsbury and Manchester United have to win,” he said.
“We have seen very difficult results in the FA Cup. Not always the top teams are winning, so I think we have done it fantastically.
“I have congratulated my players. I was very pleased. I’m very pleased because the performance was very good. I said that at half-time to my players.”
Van Gaal also spoke on David De Gea’s injury and remained confident they could end up winning the three competitions they are playing in.
“It was not so heavy an injury, so it is possible Thursday and it is also possible for Arsenal on Sunday,” he said about De Gea.
“Still everything is possible. We are still in three competitions, so we have to fight for a lot of chances.
“It is easy to pick a team for Midtjylland because I don’t have many choices. In my opinion it is a big game because the winners qualify for the Champions League next season, but we have to win a lot of matches, so it is not so easy. It is easy to say it, but doing it is difficult.
“But it is possible and then we will see and come March we will have a lot of players back. So then we will have a full selection and with our full selection, we were first in the Premier League.”
NIGERIA: ‘STRONG MEN AND WEAK INSTITUTION’
Professor Jonah
Onuoha of political science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in one of his
lectures, in explaining underdevelopment of the Third World, used the theory of
the “Strong Men and weak institution.” As the theory stands, it is arguable
that Nigeria as a nation has for long (and still has) existed on the grounds of
“strong men and weak institution.” The potentials in the country are not being
tackled frontally by the government - supposed to be on the look-up for the public. The weak institutions of Nigeria are such that the strong men no
longer get tough when the going gets tough. Issues are not being addressed
properly upon a balanced factor; that Nigeria has perpetuated its citizens in
the survival of the fittest, rather than survival as a principle of a strong
nation.
We should note that the problem with Nigeria is best discussed
using the theory of post-colonial state. The British colonial masters left
Nigeria on a one-sided contraption. Dividing the state into two major groups
(the North and South) was the problem created by the British masters that has
left Nigeria in a perpetual motion of weakness and stagnation, in that Nigeria
has been revolving around the under-listed problems as contained in Achebe’s the
trouble with Nigeria: tribalism, false Image of ourselves, leadership,
Nigerian-style, patriotism, social injustice and the cult of mediocrity,
indiscipline, corruption, the Igbo problem, etc. One of the problems
post-colonial state presents is that, Nigeria, as big and vast as it is, is
majorly controlled by one side – the North. And based upon this false notion
that this side constitutes half population of the Nigerian people, it then
becomes a thing of squabble when issues are handled behind them.
However,
the problem here is not what the British colonial masters left of us, rather
the problem is, as a nation which is no longer governed and colonised by the
British, Nigeria has failed to understand the true concept of independence, the
Nigerian state is weak today and weaker tomorrow because the ideas and remains
of the colonial administration have not been left behind. The country is still haunted
by the ghost of the colonial formations. Nigeria peoples are strong enough to
pull the nation to any level required, but the institution of the state (i.e.
the formality) does not in any way encourage the eagerness of the masses. A
struggling individual in the Nigerian weak institution is conformed, engulfed,
and entrapped by the forces of failure which confront him in his environment.
Onuoha suggests that underdevelopment as poverty is like a tree with its root
to the ground, and for one to step away from poverty; one has to uproot it from
the root. Nigeria has not been able (or has refused) to uproot what we know are
our problems: corruption, tribalism, preference, mediocre, to mention but few.
Hence “strong men and weak institution”
In
analyzing the trouble with Nigeria, Achebe writes:
I am not here recommending ruthlessness as a necessary
qualification for Nigerian leadership. Quite on the contrary. What I am saying
is that Nigeria can change today if she discovers leaders who have the will,
the ability, and the vision (2).
For Nigeria to
discover good leaders or for good leaders to have the will to build a stronger
institution for the Nigeria state, the nation must put aside the formalities of
the functionalism that have glued it, objectively, to its problems. Formalities
like innate corruption and tribalism: Achebe defines tribalism in his book The Trouble with Nigeria,
as a discrimination against a citizen because of his place of birth.
Nigeria lives primarily on the problem of how we think of a tribe. Nigerian
citizens are mainly subjected to the consciousness of tribalism and ethnicity.
This amounts to the point where a government official is admired and shouldered
high by his ethnic group alone. Nigerians should see themselves as Nigerians
not as a south-westerner, south-southerner, northerner, easterner, and so on.
The country has found it extremely difficult to adapt to development because it
has failed to see the world as amenable to change and has clung to what it
thinks is a well established procedure even when it is no longer appropriate. This
has prompted an American psychologist, David McClelland, to define Africans as
a people with low need for achievement. Meanwhile, professor Onuoha’s theory is
on the fact that the process of underdevelopment in the Nigerian state is the
failure of the components of its institutions (by institution, he does not mean
academic institution) to harness the potentials of the strong men in the state.
My prospect is that, for the country to be free of this developmental
death-dance (one step forward, two steps backward) in the form of
underdevelopment, the said weak institutions (government institution, public
administration, respective companies, academic institutions etc) should first understand
their weaknesses, and by understanding their weakness and finding lasting, but
not one-off, solutions to these problems, the country will be transformed – probably
– from the theory of ‘strong men and weak institution’ into a nation of ‘strong
men, stronger institution’ – a theory that will be propounded on its emergence.
Woman arrested for making no effort to save her 6 year old screaming daughter from house fire

Erica Rosello, 32, allegedly escaped
the property in Miami on Thursday night as the blaze consumed her
apartment - but left her daughter behind.
The fire is said to have taken hold of the home after Rosello poured water on an oil fire in the kitchen.
She became separated from her
daughter and ran out of the apartment before allegedly flagging down a
car and asking the driver to take her to a friend's house, WSVN reported.
Firefighters were called to
the apartment and were able to break through a window to rescue the
girl, who was unconscious from smoke inhalation.
She was taken to Nicklaus Children's Hospital but has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery.
Meanwhile Rosello, who by this time was said to be at her friend's house, called her mother, Angelica Tabio.
Ms Tabio said:
'When her friend calmed her down - that friend has my phone number - he called me, and the first thing she told me was, '"Mom, she is dead."'
The grandmother said she replied:
'"What do you mean she is dead? No, she is here in the hospital."'
Rosello later arrived at the hospital, where she was arrested.
A man who features prominently
on Rosello's Facebook page and appears to be her boyfriend is a
firefighter. The identity of the girl's father is not known.
Rosello is charged with child neglect and is not allowed to contact her daughter, who is now in the custody of Ms Tabio, her Grand mother.
Rosello wept in court on
Sunday as she was told she could not see her daughter. She posted a
$7,500 bond and is being held under house arrest.
Ms Tabio told the news station
that Rosello loves her daughter but suffered from postpartum
depression. She also thanked firefighters for saving her granddaughter's
life.
Firefighters involved in the rescue of the six-year-old told CBS Miami about the moment they smashed a window and carried her to safety.
Miami-Dade firefighter David Arrencibia said he could hear the girl crying when he arrived at the home.
'The bed was literally two feet from the window and I happened to see the little girl,' he said.
Realizing there was no time to wait for a ladder, he smashed a window and got his partner to lift him inside.
'I could tell she was unconscious. I picked her up, turned around and took her out the window,' he said.
'I feel accomplished. I’m grateful that the situation was such that we were able to get her out as quickly as we did. Had we taken another three, four minutes the outcome would have been different.'

Oil blocks: Supreme Court rules in Chevron’s favour
The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Friday
delivered its judgment in favour of Chevron Nigeria Limited and Seplat
Petroleum Development Company Plc in a litigation brought against both
parties by Brittania-U Nigeria Limited over the sale of Oil Mining
Leases 53 and 55.
Brittania-U, one of the bidders for the
assets, had in December 2013 sued Chevron over the planned sale of the
assets to Seplat, arguing that it emerged as the highest bidder. The
litigation prevented the full completion of the sale process and
transfer of the assets.
CNL, in a statement signed by its
General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, Mr. Deji
Haastrup, said it had formally handed over the producing assets in OMLs
53 and 55 to Seplat and Belemaoil, respectively.
It said the handover and induction
exercise, which concluded the asset sale transaction between Chevron and
the two local firms, were done at CNL’s Lekki Headquarters and the
Jisike Flow Station, near Owerri, Imo State.
The Chairman and Managing Director, CNL,
Mr. Clay Neff, was quoted in the statement as saying, “We are pleased
to conclude the handover of the producing assets in OMLs 53 and 55 to
Seplat and Belemaoil respectively. This affords these companies an
opportunity to grow their production, while also confirming our
commitment to developing Nigerian content.”
In response, the Chief Executive
Officer, Seplat, Mr. Austin Avuru, said the acquisition of these assets
was in realisation of the company’s carefully designed strategy to
create long-term value and shared prosperity for their shareholders and
other stakeholders.
He said, “Seplat will leverage its core
strengths and expertise to capitalize on growth opportunities available
to them across the upstream value cycle.”
On his part, the Founder of Belemaoil,
Mr. Jack-Rich Tein, said, “We are pleased that the acquisition of OML 55
by Belemaoil is now concluded and we will now proceed with our
long-term strategy to maximize value for all stakeholders.”
CNL signed a sales and purchase
agreement in November 2013 for the sale of its interests in OMLs 52, 53
and 55 to the Seplat consortium comprising Seplat, Belemaoil and Amni
International Petroleum Development Company Limited.
The litigation reached the Supreme
Court, following an appeal brought by Brittania-U against the judgment
of the Court of Appeal in Nigeria. The Court of Appeal decision
delivered on June 20, 2014 set aside the ruling of the lower court,
which had extended an ex-parte order of interim injunction obtained by
Brittania-U at the commencement of the action.
Brittania-U had also sought the order of
the Supreme Court for an interlocutory injunction restraining CNL and
Seplat from proceeding with the sale and transfer of the assets until
the determination of the appeal by the Supreme Court.
NYSC bans combination of Law School, national service
The National Youth Service Corps has
said that henceforth, participation in the national service and
attendance of Law School at the same time “would not be acceptable”.
A statement by the spokesperson of the
NYSC, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, on Friday said this was part of the
resolutions made at 2016 annual management conference of the
organisation, which took place in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Participants also agreed that the policy
on posting of the corps members to places of primary assignment would
be reviewed to meet contemporary needs.
Aderibigbe said the conference stated
that the NYSC Act provided for uninterrupted service year, and “advised
prospective corps members to choose which one to defer between national
service and Law School attendance instead of attempting to combine
both.”
She said, “Parents of prospective corps
members have also been advised by the confab to allow their graduate
children take decisions as adults and avoid discouraging them from
accepting postings to any location in the country.
“Management also noted the return of
normalcy in some states whose orientation camps were closed due to
insecurity, and expressed readiness to make phased reopening of the
camps after due consultations with security agencies and governments of
the affected states.”
The conference further resolved to
deepen engagements with key stakeholders, including the security and
intelligence community and traditional rulers on matters of security and
general well-being of corps members.

Give your woman an unforgettable orgasm with these sex positions.
Nirmalya Dutta on Healthsite.com
The
problem with female orgasm is that there are various different routes
to reach the Promised Land and what works for one woman, might not work
for another. While some women might only get an orgasm through vaginal
intercourse, others can only get it through clitoral stimulation. Here
are five sex positions which will make your woman moan with pleasure. Missionary
It’s
without a doubt the first sex position you’ll ever find yourself in. It
is the bread-and-butter of sex positions and the most common one to
boot. A 2011 survey had found that it was most preferred one though it’s
derided by feminists for being too man-in-control. The basic
positioning is very simple and involves the man on top while entering
the woman with both of them facing one another. It’s a very simple
position for beginners and doesn’t need a great deal of athleticism or
know-how. Because the partners are face-to-face there’s more eye contact
and kissing. There’s also a greater amount of body contact and the
hands and legs can be manipulated to create a variety of different
positions. You can also put a pillow under her hips so that you can
penetrate in her deeper and hit the G-spot. Reverse Cowgirl
This
famous variation of the woman-on-top has the lady pointing her head the
other way. Basically, it has the man lying down and the woman on top of
him either kneeling or squatting while he faces her back. It’s a
flexible position where a woman can either lean forward or backward or
keep her torso straight, while the man can keep his legs straight or
arched. The position is a great variation from woman-on-top and gives
the woman total control over the pace and rhythm and lets her set the
agenda. She can also change the angles to see how to hit the sweet spot.
Also, she has the option to rub her clitoris (the only way some women
can orgasm) and get her man to hit the G-spot simultaneously which can
give a very powerful orgasm!Doggie Style
Rear
entry or to use the more street term doggie style just loses out to
woman-on-top. The position involves the woman on her knees facing away
from the partner while he enters from behind. Some variations can have
the woman lying face down as well with a pillow under her belly for more
leverage. The position is great because it allows deeper penetration to
hit the G-spot which is located somewhere along the front vaginal wall.
Also, there’s room for clitoral stimulation which could make getting an
orgasm even easier.Woman on Top
No
one understands the female body quite like the woman herself and that’s
what makes the –woman-on-top a great sex position to achieve an orgasm
because the woman is in control. Also known as the reverse missionary
position, it is great for deep penetration. It also gives women complete
control so she can direct the male partner to places which she’d like
to and also control the thrusting.Standing Sex Position
The
standing sex position might be harder to achieve than the ones we’ve
discussed so far and while it does require a certain degree of strength
and athleticism, the rewards are also great. It usually involves the
female partner with her back against the wall (or facing the other way)
while the male partner enters her while her holding her up. The position
allows for a greater degree of penetration and also allows for clitoral
stimulation with all the different angles feasible.
Have sex after a fight to make up with your partner
Make-up sex can be the best sex you've ever had!
Make-up sex is perhaps the most satisfying and wild sex couples have! Why so? Because one moment you are arguing and disagreeing and the next thing you know, you are tearing off each other’s clothes, going for it with a hungry passion because you can’t keep your hands off your partner. It is a high that has been compared to that of sniffing cocaine, obviously sans its side-effects.
Dos and don’ts of make-up sex
First test the waters to know if your better half is also in the mood to kiss and make up. So don’t just jump on them, start by pulling them towards you or kissing them and if they respond well then go for it.
Don’t be too aggressive even if you are all charged up as you may hurt your significant other. Make sure you don’t go overboard with your passion unless both of you are in a mood to go wild. In the heat of the moment, don’t forget to use protection.
During the act, you can tease your lover by coming close to them and then moving away just as they are about to kiss you. Play hard to get and let them pull you closer to have you.
You can apologise during the act or not talk about the fight at all as it might lead to another argument and spoil the moment.
Even though make-up sex is great, once you are done, don’t forget to talk it out and end your fight in a healthy manner. Leaving it midway can lead to bigger problems later.
So make-up after a fight in a sexy way so that even those not-so-fun moments become memorable. Try these sex positions for a crazy orgasm.
See Senate President's reply to Obasanjo
Senate President, Bukola Saraki has responded to a letter written to the National Assembly leadership by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo accusing the legislators of insensitivity over a plan to buy 469 cars despite the economic situation in the country.
Saraki’s response was contained in a statement released by his media office today, January 28, 2016.
It reads:
Yesterday,
I acknowledged that I received a letter from former President Olusegun
Obasanjo in which he called the attention of the National Assembly to
some issues.
I will want to assure President
Obasanjo that the leadership and membership of the 8th Senate are
committed to good governance, transparency, accountability, due process
and responsiveness to the economic reality of our nation. It is for this
reason that the legislative chamber has introduced bold and progressive
reforms in the management of the finances of the National Assembly.
This
is of even greater importance during a tough fiscal period for our
country. Like I said during my closing address at the plenary after our
debate on the 2016 Budget, the Senate must lead by example in terms of
our own funding, budgets and accountability – showing, beyond doubt,
value for money. I have canvassed that we must lay bare the budget of
the Senate, nay the National Assembly and its affiliated institutions.
I
equally canvassed the need to strengthen the capacity of the
legislative institution to carry our effective oversight of the
executive arm so that we can ensure the budget leads to the realization
of the policy objectives of the Buhari Administration. Again, let me
reiterate my position in the speech I made this morning on the need for
us to work towards blocking all areas of revenue leakages while also
strengthening the anti-corruption agencies so that the little resources
that are now available will serve the interest of the overwhelming
majority.
As a former president and a father of
the nation that we all hold in high esteem, I intend to reply the letter
and outline the actions the Senate is taking to address his concerns.
In
conclusion, I appreciate President Obasanjo for his consistent role in
always reminding those of us in government about our responsibilities to
the general public and offering timely advice where necessary.

Ibrahim Danladi was said to have been arrested by the NDLEA while in possession of a 1.5kg of marijuana.
Some residents of the village who were contacted confirmed the arrest but added that the traditional ruler, fondly called, ‘Alhaji Maina,’ was arrested following the discovery of a bag of marijuana in his house.

dealing on marijuana was staying in his house selling it. Realizing the
huge profit the man was making, Alhaji Maina also joined him in selling
the illicit drugs,” a source said.
Even
thought efforts to contact the village head by Pulse proof abortive, the
traditional ruler’s arrest and subsequent suspension is a dramatic turn
in the fight against drugs in the State.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State government has announced the suspension of the traditional ruler, in a statement signed by Samuel Aruwan.
The
statement said on 20 January 2016, the NDLEA arrested Danladi a village
head of Ungwa Goma in the Gimi District of Sanga local government area
of the state who admitted ownership of the illegal drug.
“The
NDLEA subsequently notified the Kaduna State Security Council of the
arrest of the traditional ruler. While deliberating on the matter, the
Council recommended his suspension from office pending the conclusion of
investigations and possible trial. The government accepted the
recommendation,” the statement said.
NDLEA will soon arraign the village head in court after investigations are completed, it was gathered.
