US election: Chris Okotie projects Trump’s victory, says Obama made people hate God

Popular Nigerian pastor and General Overseer of the Household of God Church International Ministries, Chris Okotie, has drummed up support for the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in the November 8 United States, U.S election.
Pastor Okotie said the 44th and current President of the U.S, Barack Hussein Obama, has turned people away from God, hence, the 70-year-old Republican nominee deserves to win.
On his Facebook page, Okotie wrote, “America’s problem is not gender inequality or a parochial appreciation of immigration sensibilities.
“It is the manifest do goodness of secular humanism as defined by a generation of haters of God and his anointed who are given to a sinister spirit of hedonistic nihilism.

“This is not about Trump or Clinton but the spirit and philosophy that galvanize their political platforms as Republicans and Democrats.
“It is righteousness that exalts a nation not competence and glib political rhetoric.
“Obama and the Democratic party have placed America precariously on the edge of a precipice in diametrical opposition to God.
“Trump’s victory is the first step towards a national reconciliation and rapprochement with God.
“Who is on God’s side?” the former presidential candidate in Nigeria added.

Finance minister explains 2017 budget figures

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, yesterday, said the Federal Government would put forward the sum of N6,866,335,052,740 as 2017 budget.
She told members of the Senate Committee on Finance, led by its chairman, John Owan Enoh (PDP, Cross River Central), that government would present the figure because it spends over N3 trillion on salaries, pensions and debt services, leaving a paltry amount for capital projects.
The committee members were on an oversight visit to her ministry.
Adeosun said government’s efforts at realising money from revenue generating agencies were being hampered by high-level corruption in agencies, especially the Nigerian Customs Service, and solicited intervention of the National Assembly in curbing leakage.
She said: “Salaries on their own are about N1.8 trillion to N1.9 trillion. And by the time you add the Judiciary, the National Assembly, pensions, and others, you are at N2 trillion. Add debt service, which is about N1.4 trillion. So, if you want to bring down the size of the budget, you won’t be able to do very many capital projects.
“That’s the problem, and that has been the vicious circle that has been affecting Nigeria for so long. By the time we pay salaries, pay debts, nothing is left. So, I think for the next few years, we have to take a gamble, as a nation. We must take a gamble that if we fix our roads, fix power, can we generate more than that additional cost? I think we can.”
Enoh said the visit was “driven by the collective decision of the Senate, a few weeks ago, that all its standing committees embark on oversight visits to all ministries, departments and agencies of government.”
He said: “This is October. The Medium Term Expenditure Framework is already sent to the National Assembly for approval, so that the 2017 budget can come. We have a few revenue challenges; above all is the performance of the independent revenue of government. So, we think that the minister would take advantage of this meeting and bring us to speed on a few of these things.”
The committee berated the minister over what it described as poor handling of agencies under her watch, resulting in monumental leakage. “There are a lot of drain pipes and leakages in the Customs. I don’t think the ministry, under your watch, has given sufficient attention to this,” said Enoh.
Adeosun admitted that the Nigerian Customs Service was financially bankrupt. She said her ministry was working with the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, to correct its financial fate.
“On the issue of Customs, we are working very closely with them. They have some challenges. The general contraption in the economy has really affected their level of input-forex scarcity and so on. They have some leakages. We are working with them to try and block these. Largely, all their scanners are not working, except the one in Idiroko.”

I disagree there’s demonism in Aso Rock

I feel that it is totally out of order in the wake of our civilisation to speak or associate our revered seat of power with demonism and diabolism as being peddled about now. Having spent six years working as Presidential Adviser to two former great presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and the late President Musa Umar Yar’adua, I feel I should use this medium to fault this erroneous impression being created even though, my opinion here is a product of personal experience.
It is very unfortunate that the seat of power of the most populous African nation like the Aso Villa would be so denigrated, thereby elevating non-existing spiritual forces as responsible for selective and few cases of illnesses and deaths that is not in any way related to witchcrafts or demons.
As far as I am concerned, the supernatural exists in people’s minds depending on their strength and state of mind, it is so easy to think that their presence is evidentiary but in reality, it is a matter of perspective or someone’s spiritual leaning.
Most supernatural events as far as I am concerned can be dismissed as hoaxes, fabrications or mysterious events or even malaria induced hallucination. Otherwise how will anybody at that level link a common fire outbreak in a flat, which at worse may have been as a result of an electrical fault or negligence to the manipulation of spiritual forces?
Due to the nature of my functions as a Presidential Adviser on National Assembly matters, which was most demanding and challenging because at that time, there was strict adherence to the doctrine of the separation of powers so there was need for very long meetings to convince legislative leaders at the embryonic stage of any policy.
As a result, there were many instances when I would have to leave the villa sometimes at 2am and even 3am, and I never experienced any confrontation or feelings of ghosts or negative forces as I walked through the quiet corridors of the villa to the car park during those hours.
Also, despite being hypertensive, there was never a single day within those six years that my blood pressure became unmanageable or put me in bed. On the contrary, I had a feeling of wellbeing which could be attributed to the fact that I loved my job and appreciated the opportunity to contribute my quota to the development of democracy and the nation.
This was also a period of time when everybody worked 24/7 round the clock as exemplified by former President Obasanjo, who enjoyed good health and over the period of that four years, there was never a day that I heard him complain of being unwell neither did I hear that any of the men that worked 24/7 lost any organ of their body.
I also did not hear that people like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Oby Ezekwesili, Andy Uba, El Rufai, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Hajiya Mariam Ibrahim and others experienced any strange encounter or illness either personal or within their families because these are people that worked round the clock with the president.
The few deaths recorded in Aso Villa were medically traceable and not as a result of some mystical powers. Cancers and other life threatening ailments are more often than not genetic.
With due respect, I am however in shock that the writer whom I have tremendous respect for as a frontline Journalist with sound mind can find a space in his mind for such thoughts in today’s contemporary world, where every human being is convinced that the only supernatural power in heaven and on earth is God and that presence of God that we all worship – both Christians and Muslims – had always prevailed in that villa.
That is not to say that people cannot momentarily feel unwell with the common stress induced symptoms and we all know that extreme stress and pressure can cause momentary loss of libido. So, would that mean that such person had been struck by juju? However, I find it entertaining that despite losing the whole essence of a man’s being those men did not resign and run out of Aso villa.
To be candid, I am very shocked that this matter is even being mentioned. But for the umpteenth time, I think that these claims are figments of the writer’s imagination. Aso Rock does not need any redemption and such should not be said of a sacred place that hosts world leaders. Nigerians have gone past such superstitions. We have passed that stage. It doesn’t portray us positively as a nation that is interested in making obvious advancements either in technology or any other strata of national growth.
In fact, there is remarkable religious tolerance in Aso Rock. The Muslims have their mosque where they pray and Christians have their chapel. Former President Obasanjo introduced early morning devotions before the start of each day perhaps as a way of showing gratitude to God and seeking God’s guidance in the enormous task at the time considering the fact that he miraculously came back to power after a long period of incarceration, although some individuals attended the prayer sessions so as to have some access to the president.
If there are witchcrafts or demons in Aso Rock, are we now attributing same to affecting Mrs. Buhari? I don’t think so. This brings me to the issue of the first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari. I do admire her from a distance. Her love and concern for her husband probably pushed her to grant that interview. But our dear first lady, in my opinion, once your husband has emerged as a presidential candidate of a serious political party that is likely to win election, you have lost him to that political party.
The moment your husband is announced winner of that election and now becomes president of the nation, you have lost him to the nation that he is now obliged to serve. At this point, despite all your contributions through campaigns, prayers and goodwill, etc, to that victory, your husband has been hijacked. The gladiators will now spring into action. In short, you don’t want to know what first ladies go through. Typical examples include loneliness and frustration due to non-inclusion in political issues and decision making.
Generally, first ladies are accepted as politicians during elections to campaign, which of course, she is obliged to, but after the elections, she is no longer seen as a politician and it might even be difficult to make inputs in political issues and as a woman. I feel her pains as this can be very frustrating. But first ladies do manage to bear these pains and sacrifices involved and ensure that the public is not aware. The public only see the glamour of being a first lady.
Also, on the issue of cabal, it is important in my opinion for us to note that presidents, through interactions and maybe long term relationships, identify those he can trust, those that share his visions and those he feels are totally committed to his success and these are the people we call ‘cabal’. There is no ‘cabal’. Every president comes with his ‘personal persons’ that represent his comfort zone.
In politics, there can be characters within the system that deliberately carry out actions that are counterproductive to the president’s success, which may be of concern to the first lady. Even within political parties, there are individuals who work very hard to ensure that their party does not win elections. There is no first lady that has not gone through what Mrs. Buhari is complaining about.
My advice is that first ladies should identify laudable charity projects that can impact on peoples’ lives or can reduce mortality rates, reduce sufferings and hunger. So she should please concentrate and take her charity project to the highest global level as she is doing now as this will leave an indelible mark and she will forever be loved and respected. She should not allow her family to be used for entertainment.
Finally, First Ladies should concentrate on their charity works, play that needed supportive roles to their husbands. We women should pray to God to give us the strength and courage of Hillary Clinton, who is bold enough to come out and aspire to be what her husband was (President of America). Probably, she quietly understudied him.
May God bless Nigeria and give us the strength and courage to survive these difficult times for it will all pass.

We’ll return Nigeria to good old days of accountability — Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has restated the determination of his administration to restore the country to the “good old days of accountability”.
Speaking at a meeting Tuesday with the Director, Global Upstream of Shell Oil Company at the State House, Abuja, President Buhari said he would leave a legacy of improved infrastructure, particularly in the power sector, and ensure better security in the Niger Delta.
“It is only by doing this that investors’ morale and confidence will return, and the economy will be positioned on the path of growth,” the president said.
President Buhari, who commended Shell for their faith in the economy and staying power, gave assurances on some issues of concern raised by the company.
On the protracted issue of cash calls, the president assured that the Federal Executive Council would soon consider a proposal for the easing of unpaid arrears owed by the government.
President Buhari assured that the security of oil infrastructure will continue to be prioritised side-by-side with the dialogue with stakeholder-communities in the Niger Delta.
He, however, urged oil companies to take more responsibility in the protection of oil installations to complement the efforts of Nigerian Navy in the region.
In his remarks, the Shell Director, Andrew Brown, informed the president of the resumption of oil exportation through the Forcados terminal following its restoration.
He called for continued protection by the Nigerian Navy in view of repeated threats of attacks by militants.
Mr. Brown commended the anti-corruption posture of the Buhari administration as well as the efforts to streamline and stabilize the economy for long term projects, saying all the efforts will go a long way to reinforce Shell investment plans in Nigeria.

Train crushes man to death

An unidentified elderly man was on Tuesday crushed to death by a train in Enugu.
Our correspondent gathered that several persons were also injured in the incident, which occurred on a rail track located around the popular Ogbete main market in Enugu metropolis.
Eye witnesses said the train, which was said to be returning from Port Harcourt, appeared suddenly on the track at high speed.
It was alleged that the train did not blow its horn to alert people who were on the rail track at the time of the incident.
Our correspondent learnt that traders use the rail track for commercial activities.
An eye witness who did not wish to be named said the train nearly crushed a tricycle, otherwise known as ‘Keke NAPEP’, before killing the elderly man.
He claimed that the driver of the train would have killed several people, but for ‘divine intervention’.
“If not God who moved the vehicles out miraculously, we all would have perished,” the man, who claimed he was among the survivors, said.
Spokesman, Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the development.
Amaraizu described the accident as “horrible”, and wondered why the driver of the train did not blow the horn to alert pedestrians who were on the rail track.

Senate passes motion to reintroduce toll gates

The motion, titled ‘Need for the Re-establishment of Toll Gates On Our Federal
Highways,’ was moved Senator Suleiman Nazif, representing Bauchi-North Senatorial District, during Tuesday’s plenary.

48-year-old hands over family to son, commits suicide

A 48-year-old man, Segla Hunvu, has committed suicide in the Mowo, Badagry area of Lagos State.
Our correspondent learnt that Hunvu, who stayed on Jogbenu Street, Torikovi Town, Mowo, was found dangling with a rope around his neck on Thursday.
A relation, who did not want his name in print, told PUNCH Metro that Hunvu had informed his eldest son, a few days to the incident, to take care of himself and his younger ones.
He said, “Hunvu came to the Ajegunle, Apapa area on Monday to see his younger brother, Michael Hunvu. We did not know he came to bid us farewell. He had earlier told his eldest son, who is a teenager, to take good care of himself and his younger ones.
“He did not come out clearly to say he wanted to kill himself. Nobody knew the reason he killed himself. It is suspected that he was frustrated.”
PUNCH Metro learnt that Michael reported the matter at the Morogbo Police Division.
A police source told our correspondent that after Hunvu left the Ajegunle area, he entered his house when his children were not around and hanged himself in a room in the house.
He said, “The children tried reaching him on the telephone, but calls made to him did not connect.
“It was after some days that his body was found in the room.”
Our correspondent learnt that policemen, who visited Hunvu’s apartment, found him hanging from the rope, took photographs and deposited the corpse in a morgue.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the family members had requested the corpse for burial.

Nanny beheads disabled child

A Moscow nanny on Monday pleaded guilty to murdering the four-year-old disabled child in her charge after brandishing the child’s severed head on the street.
“I plead guilty; that’s what she said,” an interpreter said as Uzbek national Gyulchekhra Bobokulova went on trial, Interfax news agency reported.
In a chilling case, Bobokulova was arrested in February as she waved the severed head of four-year-old Anastasia outside a Moscow metro station.
The girl’s headless body was later found in the family’s flat, which had been set on fire.
The prosecutor at Moscow’s Khoroshevsky district court read out the charges that 39-year-old Bobokulova had strangled Anastasia, who had cerebral palsy, and then beheaded her.
She then overturned an oil lamp that set the apartment ablaze and went outside carrying the child’s head.
Witnesses said that the nanny paced for around 20 minutes on the street dressed in black, waving the severed head and threatening to blow herself up.
Russia’s national television channels refused to cover the grisly killing in a controversial move that the Kremlin defended, saying the subject was “probably too monstrous to be shown on television.”
Her trial is being covered by state television, however.
In March, at her first court appearance following her arrest, Bobokulova said that “it was what Allah ordered,” speaking in broken Russian.
Bobokulova is being held in custody at a psychiatric hospital within Moscow’s ageing Butyrka jail.
She has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and ruled not mentally capable. Prosecutors will ask for her to be incarcerated in a high-security psychiatric facility.
She is charged with the murder of a minor, which carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, as well as arson and making a false report of an explosion.

APC responsible for Nigeria’s woes, says Okorocha

The Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, on Monday admitted that the All Progressives Congress is responsible for Nigeria’s woes.
He said although some of the problems predated the present administration, the party must take responsibility without shifting blame.
Okorocha spoke with State House correspondents shortly after leading the APC governors to a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governor said, “As APC, we are responsible for everything happening in Nigeria. We are responsible for the good, the bad, the ugly but we are promising Nigerians that we shall fix it.”
While admitting that Nigerians were passing through difficult times, Okorocha said there was no surgery that is not painful.
He said Nigerians were experiencing pains because the country was going through what he called “a very serious economic surgery.”
The governor asked Nigerians to be more patient with the present administration.
He said, “We share the pains of Nigerians, every human being must feel it. We also feel what they are going through but we are asking for a little patience.
“Let us do things the right way and do it once and for all. I am sure that by next year, you will begin to see changes, the price of rice will drop, prices of dollars will begin to stabilise and we will see a lot of challenges.
“But at this painful moment, nobody likes it. It is like a woman in the labour room, when she is in the labour room there is no joy but she has to pass through that moment and that moment, she does not wear her high heel shoes, no makeup, no champagne, no party.
“She is going through a process but shortly after that process, joy cometh once she sees the child. So, Nigerians should bear with us as a government.”
Okorocha said the governors discussed a lot of national issues at the meeting including the 21 released Chibok girls, agriculture, the ongoing anti-corruption war and the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State with the President.

Mourinho To Conte: Stop Humiliating United With Your Goal Celebration

Jose Mourinho has accused Antonio Conte of humiliating Manchester United with his touchline behaviour during Chelsea’s 4-0 victory on Sunday.
Mourinho, who was facing the Blues for the first time since parting ways with the club last season, was humbled on his return to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea ran riot in front of their home support.
Pedro opened the scoring for the hosts after just 31 seconds, before Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard put Chelsea firmly in control of the match. However, it was N’Golo Kante’s fourth goal – and the manner of Conte’s typically wild celebrations that followed – to which Mourinho took exception.
At the final whistle the Portuguese shook hands with Conte before appearing to attack the Italian for his celebrations in the wake of Kante’s strike. “It’s my opinion, but you do it at 1-0 – not at 4-0,’ Mourinho seemed to tell Conte in Italian. ‘That’s humiliation for us.’
However, in his post-match interview, Mourinho refused to confirm what exactly he had said to Conte and insisted the matter was solely between the two managers.  ‘It was with Antonio, not with you,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports. ‘Of course not… I was speaking with Antonio, not with you. I am sorry.’
The controversial incident capped a miserable day for the United manager, who watched Pedro put the hosts ahead inside 31 seconds. Cahill was allowed to add a soft second from inside the six-yard box soon after, before Hazard grabbed a goal his performance deserved with a fine finish from 14 yards out. The Belgium international then set up Kante for Chelsea’s fourth – sparking Conte into a typically frenetic celebration with his technical staff on the touchline.
Mourinho admitted his side paid a heavy price for early individual mistakes and, as a result, were picked off on the counter-attack in the second half. “We made incredible defensive mistakes,’ he said. ‘Individual defensive mistakes and you pay for that. Then if you equalise after the 1-0 or if you score the 2-1 after the 2-0 you have a big chance because in terms of football the team was quite comfortable.
“We knew we were going to have space with our full-backs because of the way they play. We did that in the second half and we played with Marcus Rashford through the middle to create more mobility from Zlatan’s position.
“We played with just two midfield players and we had no problems at all and we had control of the game. But the control is a bit dangerous because Chelsea have great players on the counter-attack who are just waiting for that.”
Despite the manner of his side’s defeat, Mourinho remained optimistic over United’s chances of success this season and pointed to, what he perceives to be, a favourable run of upcoming league fixtures.
“In terms of points it is zero points,’ he said. ‘When you lose 1-0 or 4-0 you lose three points, you don’t lose four, five or six points. You lose three points.  “We are six points from the top of the league and we are I think maybe three or four from the top four. We now need to win matches. We had a week with two matches away to two candidates – Liverpool and Chelsea – and now other teams from the top five have to play between themselves.
“We need to win our matches which are not easy but we play Burnley, we play Swansea, we play West Ham and we need to win matches to close the gap. After these last three matches in the league we have two draws and one defeat. We made two points out of nine. Now what we need is points.”
Mourinho will be hoping to see his side bounce back at the first time of asking when United face cross-city rivals Manchester City in the League Cup on Wednesday evening.  Chelsea, meanwhile, are also in League Cup action that night as they travel across London to face West Ham.

65-year-old man rapes two-year-old girl

A 65-year-old man, Emeka Asibirionwu, has been arrested for allegedly raping a two-year-old girl at Oriendu, near Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The Abia Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade, who addressed newsmen on Monday in Umuahia said the suspect was arrested on September 28.
Oyebade said that Asibirionwu was “arrested when the victim’s mother raised the alarm on sighting her daughter crying, while blood and fluid were gushing out from her private part.”
He said the victim’s mother reportedly kept the minor in the custody of the suspect, who was her neighbour, when the incident happened.
The suspect, however, denied the allegation in an interview with newsmen.
He said that he was in his house around 10 p.m. when the victim’s mother accosted him, screaming and accusing him of having defiled her daughter.
He said that he declined the demand that he should provide the money for the victim’s medical treatment because he knew he was innocent of the allegation. (NAN)

Buhari should not have appointed Kemi Adeosun as Finance Minister – Reno Omokri

Former Special Assistant on new media to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint capable hands into his cabinet.
In a message he posted on his social media handle on Sunday, Reno said, “With all due respect, Kemi Adeosun cannot be able to pullout the economic magic that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will pullout.
“For example, the President took about six months to set a cabinet after which he replaced Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala with Kemi Adeosun who has a bachelor degree in economics from the University of East London. I schooled in London and I know that the University is not a really well ranked university.‎
“Moreso this is someone who has just a degree in economics and post graduate diploma which is not as high as bachelors.
“Now you had someone who has a PHD in regional and economic development and worked as a Managing Director at the World Bank and also a former Minister of Finance replaced by Kemi who I have nothing against in a difficult period like this. You need to put your best hands.
“She is a very nice woman but as a leader, you have to be unsentimental and take hard decisions. Nigeria is in recession and we need our best hands.
“It doesn’t matter if they are PDP or APC, they don’t have to be politicians as long as they are the best hands, bring them on to help you achieve what you can`t do by yourself.
“If we keep looking at who to blame, we will not be able to solve the present recession and fix it in the shortest possible time. Therefore it is very important we look beyond blame and try to resolve this recession.”

Charlie Puth has cancelled the remaining dates on his 'don't talk' tour

The 24-year-old singer has pulled out of shows in Nashville, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Denver and Los Angeles because he is "extremely sick" and needs to rest.
He tweeted: "Unfortunately I have to cancel the remaining dates on my 'Don't Talk' tour. This is the last thing I want to do because I love being on the road performing and meeting every one of you. You are the reason I can do what I love most for a living and I am so thankful.

I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven't taken the time my body needs to recover. Resting and taking time off the road is the only way I can get better and start performing for you again.

I promise I will do whatever I can to make it up to you. I love you so much. I'm deeply sorry. Charlie."
Earlier this month, Charlie tweeted a picture of himself sick in bed after he had to pull out of a show because he had the flu and had lost his voice.

Meanwhile, the star admitted he used to "cringe" if he hit a flat note while performing but no longer worries about sounding perfect live as his "energy" can carry him through.

Drake will release new music in december

The 30-year-old rapper previewed three new songs on his Apple Music OVO Sound radio show on Sunday (23.10.16), stating they will all appear on his new project 'More Life', set for release in December.
Speaking on the show, the 'Hotline Bling' hitmaker described the project as a "playlist" of original songs from both himself, and the collaborators from his OVO label.

He said: "I'm off mixtapes, you know? I wanna do a playlist, I wanna give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life. So this is more like the playlist. Like I said, dropping in December, all original music from me, but you may hear some tunes from the family on there."
The 'One Dance' rapper then previewed the tracks - named 'Two Birds One Stone', 'Fake Love', and 'Sneakin' - alongside a remix to rapper Dave's 'Wanna Know'.

Speaking about the tracks, he said: "I just wanna celebrate life. 'More Life', that's what we live by. That's something that we don't take for granted. So today, like I said you're getting some new music. I'm not going to tell you how many songs it is, I'm just going to let you hear it. I know most people think I'm dropping like one song, but you know me, I like to make all the listeners and all the fans happy."
The rapper - who has just wrapped his 'Summer Sixteen Tour' in North America after having to postpone the last three dates due to an ankle injury - admitted he isn't ready to take a break just yet.

He said: "I'm just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer, and most people I guess would probably go and take a break but for me I just wanted to get right back to it." Drake also took to Instagram to share the artwork for the new project.

The caption read: "More Life new project dropping in DECEMBER (sic)"

Bag of rice will sell for N5, 000, dollar will exchange for N150, fuel for N30 – Prophet Okeowo

Prophet Ade Okeowo of Word of Liberty Evangelical Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has revealed that Nigeria will soon experience a turnaround as prices on commodities will crash in no time, stating that God did not, however, specify that the revelation would come to pass under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.
He specifically mentioned that God told him the cost of bag of rice and fuel, will be drastically reduced.
He made this revelation in a chat with Encomium, urging Nigerians to stop casting blames on President Buhari, as he needed time to fix the country.
He said, “That’s what God has revealed to me. Listen to me attentively; I am not speaking my words but God’s.
“Now, people buy rice N25, 000 per bag but God told me that we’re going to buy a bag of rice as cheap as N5, 000. A US dollar will exchange for as low as N150 and fuel will sell for as low as N30 or N40 per litre. That’s what God said will happen in this country.”
Asked if his prophecies will come to pass during Buhari’s administration, the cleric said, “God didn’t tell me that one but He revealed to me all of these and more beautiful things will happen after all the pain, but Buhari’s efforts will lead to that.
“Nigeria will be forced to a stage of break up but God will intervene.”
The Prophet further noted that Buhari is not to blame for the economic woes.
He said, “We should not blame anybody. People should not even hold Buhari responsible at all. From what God has revealed to me, He sent Buhari to Nigerians as an angel.
“God has also revealed to me that Buhari shouldn’t be worried, that everything will soon be alright. God showed me that Nigeria is like a second hand car (Tokunbo). We all know that if you buy a second hand car, it’s surely not in a perfect state. You will be fixing this today, that tomorrow until it’s fully fit. And it’s not something that will be done overnight.
“We all need to understand that if we want the country to move forward. Buhari is the one buying all the spare parts to repair the damaged car called Nigeria. By the time he completes the repair, the vehicle will move and everybody will enjoy it. That’s just the parable of Nigeria’s situation now.
“Everything will soon be alright. There are many Josephs that God is going to use to uplift this country, and Buhari is one of them.”
Recalling the other prophecies of his that have also come to pass in recent times, the Prophet said, “I predicted the Olympic soccer final. I said Germany would defeat Nigeria, it came to pass. I even said it’s going to be 2-0. I said the gold medal was for Brazil, they all came to pass.
“I predicted President Jonathan would lose the 2015 presidential election, a lot of people didn’t believe it. Even some prophets almost bet their lives on it that Buhari would lose, but it was revealed to me that Buhari would win and he won.
“Even, God revealed to me that no matter what other governorship candidates in Oyo do, Abiola Ajimobi will emerge victorious and it came to pass. I still have a message for him.”
The father of two concluded by saying “God told me to warn Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to beware of the way he chose his commissioners so that they will not destroy his government.
“Also, Governor Amosun of Ogun State should be careful of some people in the state, because some of them are hell bent in destroying his government as well.”

Colin Farrell had never read the 'harry potter' books until he had to play a role

The Irish actor plays the role of Percival Graves, the director of security at the Magical Congress of the United States of America, in the eagerly-awaited new movie, which is based on J.K. Rowling's book of the same name.
Colin revealed he has never read J.K's most popular books but is a self-confessed fan of the 'Harry Potter' film series.

He shared: "There are a few films where in they're on the television, I just can't turn them off, they're just so comforting; and any 'Harry Potter 'series qualifies as one of those films. "It's just such a beautiful and immersive world, that pays due respect to human emotions. I would be a liar if I said being in a trailer where that score kicks in didn't get me excited. I'm 40 and I shouldn't say such things."
Colin also revealed he was captivated by the script for the new movie, which is due out in November.

Asked how he prepared for his role, Colin told SFX magazine: "Imagination. Mine and J.K. Rowling's and (director) David Yates'. The script was very descriptive and beautiful and filled with all these machinations of magic.

"You can only twirl a wand around in your hotel for so long until you feel like an idiot because... nothing's happening. It can't even change the channel."

Miss Bumbum contestants portray Christ and his disciples Last Supper painting in their bikinis

Brazil’s Miss Bumbum beauty pageant has sparked controversy after hopefuls posed for a raunchy portrayal of iconic religious painting The Last Supper.

The photo shows eight hopefuls in the country’s popular ‘rear of the year’ contest portraying Christ and his disciplines – with the sexiest girl posing as Jesus.
Religious leaders branded the remake of the Da Vinci masterpiece “deeply disrespectful” and even Brazil’s religious intolerance commission condemned the picture.
Even one of the women involved said she regretted posing for the shot and said she had “asked forgiveness from God for a great sin”.
Daiana Fegueredo, representing the state of Ceara, was chosen to play Jesus in the photo as her bottom received the most number of phone votes, making her the frontrunner in the race for the coveted title.

But she said she now regrets agreeing to taking part:
“I did the photo because of my contract. But I didn’t like it and I wasn’t happy about it. You can’t play around with the word of God.
I completely understand people being angry about it, because even I’m angry and I’m in it. For me it is blasphemy.”I feel really bad deep inside of me. I’m a practising Catholic. Since I did the photo my heart is tight inside my chest, I can’t sleep and I don’t stop thinking about it. I’ve already asked forgiveness from God, and I ask forgiveness from everyone else. We went too far. We were part of a great sin.”
Father Clesio Vieira, from the Volta Redonda diocese of Rio de Janeiro, said the photo has caused “great offence” to Catholics.
“Everyone’s talking about it. It has broken the boundaries of ethics and respect, all in the name of money. This isn’t creativity, it’s the vulgarisation of the sacred and is deeply disrespectful.”
Assistant bishop of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Augusto Dias Duarte, also criticised the photos, saying he was against any images showing women’s bottoms, “whatever the setting”.
He added: “Women need to be valued for their role as a wife, mother, professional, and for her intellectual and cultural qualities.”

Dangote sacks 36 expatriates, 12 Nigerians

The current recession rocking the Nigerian economy has hit one of the biggest employers of labour in the country outside of the government as the Dangote Group, belonging to Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has fired 48 members of staff.
Our correspondents gathered that those sacked were made up of 36 expatriate and 12 Nigerian workers from the group’s headquarters and one of the subsidiaries, Dangote Cement Plc.
Though no official of the group was willing to speak on the matter on Sunday, one of our correspondents gathered from highly placed sources that the decision to sack the workers was not unconnected with the current high cost of running business in the country occasioned by the unavailability of foreign exchange and the unprecedented hike in the naira to dollar exchange rate.
It was further gathered that the huge amounts in foreign currencies being paid to the expatriate workers had become a burden on Dangote due to the steady depreciation in the value of the naira and the difficulties of raising enough dollars.
Consequently, the industrialist, according to sources, has decided to replace the expatriates with Nigerians, who have acquired the requisite experience on the job, as paying them in naira will be less problematic.
For the affected Nigerians, it was gathered that most of them had disciplinary issues, which made it easy for the group to do away with their services.
When contacted on Sunday, the Group Head, Corporate Communications, Dangote Group, Tony Chiejina, said he could not speak on the development.
However, in a letter signed by the President/Chief Executive Officer, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, dated Thursday, October 20, 2016,the firm stated that it was constrained to take the “tough” decision as economic factors had affected the cost of production.
The letter, which was titled: ‘Recent Retirement Exercise’, however, appreciated those affected for their contributions to the growth of the group.
The letter read in part, “This year has been a very challenging year for us as a business. The unavailability of foreign exchange coupled with an unprecedented hike in the exchange rate has resulted in increased costs across the organisation.
“This called for a proper review and adjustment of our costs across board to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the deployment of our factors of production in a bid to eliminate redundancies that we know exist, which resulted in some tough decisions, which means losing staff, including some of our colleagues.
“On Friday, October 14, 2016, we began the process of staff cutbacks as it is imperative to review our human capital deployment for the required cutbacks that would ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancies in the allocation of human resources.
“This first phase of this exercise involved the cutback of 36 expatriate staff across the Dangote Cement Plc and Dangote Industries Limited, and 12 local staff members in Dangote Industries Limited.”
As an organisation with international operations, the group promised that it would continue to review and restructure its human capital deployment to ensure “optimal allocation of skill sets and size of the workforce each function requires.”
The group urged the workers to shun lateness, improper dressing and other unsavoury behaviours in the workplace.
Bloomberg had in its latest ‘Billionaire Index’ reported that Dangote had lost $5.4bn of his fortune this year due to the fall in the value of the naira and the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria to ration dollars to stem huge capital outflows in the wake of Nigeria’s worst economic crisis.
Dangote had recently urged the Federal Government to sell off the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company and other dormant but huge capital-generating enterprises and reinvest the proceeds in the economy to bring the country out of the current economic recession before the end of the fourth quarter.
Dansa Foods Nigeria Limited, which claims to be a member of the Dangote Group, has reportedly been unable to pay its workers for the past six months.
The company is being run by Alhaji Sani Dangote, a brother of Aliko, who is the Executive Chairman, with Aliko’s shares embedded in the firm.
Multiple sources in the Dangote Group claimed that Dansa Foods was not part of the group but was an independent company owned and run by Aliko’s brother.
However, in a statement announcing its participation at the just concluded Lagos International Trade Fair, the group listed some of its subsidiaries as Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Agrosacks, NASCON Allied Industries Plc (Dangote Salt), Dangote Rice Limited, Dangote Cement Plc and Dansa Foods Limited.
It was reported that the company, which produces Dansa Juice and other goods, had laid off more than half of the workforce following dwindling sales and high cost of production caused by high exchange rate of the naira.
It was gathered that the company had suspended the production of Dansa Juice and other products, and was only producing Mowa Bottle Water.

Man charged with stabbing person during church service

A 65-year-old South Carolina man is charged with stabbing the person sitting in front of him in church.
Local media outlets report Billy Lewis of Wedgefield, about 35 miles east of Columbia, is charged with attempted murder for stabbing a man during services Sunday at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Authorities have not identified the victim. He was airlifted to a hospital in Columbia with severe injuries.
Witnesses told Sumter County Sheriff's deputies that Lewis stood about 9:30 a.m. and began stabbing the man in front of him in the back and head for no apparent reason. A nurse attending the service helped the victim until emergency responders arrived.
Deputies say Lewis has a history of mental health issues, but that hasn't included violence.

Bailly suffers knee injury

Jose Mourinho has admitted he fears Eric Bailly was "badly injured" during Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday.
The Ivory Coast defender was forced off with a problem on 52 minutes and was replaced by Marcos Rojo.
The Reds boss confirmed afterwards that Bailly has a knee issue which could be serious.
"He is injured and I am afraid he is badly injured," Mourinho told reporters at the post-match press conference. "In his knee, in the ligament area. He feels it is really bad."
Marouane Fellaini also appeared to pick up a knock following a high tackle from David Luiz just before half-time which earned the Chelsea defender a booking. The United midfielder did not return to the fray for the second half, with Juan Mata coming on in his place.

Wayne Rooney was absent from Sunday's match squad due to an injury he suffered in the Reds' last training session. The club captain had felt a problem during the Fenerbahce game but played on in his determination to complete 90 minutes.
