Former Nollywood actor Ernest Azuzu has dispelled rumors circulating in some sections of the media that he is dead.
The actor who has been battling with stroke for while now, took to his Facebook page to let fans know that he is alive.
He wrote:
Azuzu who has been living a lacklustre life since he stopped gracing screens disclosed in a recent interview that he has been hospitalized and abandon by the Actors Guild of Nigeria."My name is ernest chidozie azuzu pls am not dead for the people carrying rumours that my enemyis dead i just wish t5hem long life but this has proven what god said that people like me willnot die because GOD is the maker of life".
Speaking with Daily Independent, he was quoted as saying:
This is not the first time rumors about the condition of the actor will be making headlines. It could be recalled that a fan claimed he saw the actor begging for money to eat at a popular mall in Lagos recently."I was in LASUTH for two months, three days and for that long, nobody from Nollywood, not even Ibinabo Fiberesima, visited me. And she heard that I was admitted there. My friends told her that I was down with stroke and she pretended as if she didn’t hear. It’s not fair. I’m a human being too. I am limping right now, because I have stroke. I am limping because my people don’t care. I’m limping because the industry is already messed up. I don’t know what Ibinabo is doing. Ibinabo is just gallivanting. She is having fun and that is not the reason we put her there. She should go out there and fight for our people."
