Woman claims fast food restaurant served her family fried rat head instead of chicken (photos)

A woman, Rosemary Thomas went on Facebook to claim that popular fast food restaurant Popeyes sold fried rat head to her daughter, her sister and her niece instead of fried chicken which she had ordered for and that her faily suffered from diarrhea and vomiting as a result.

“This is clearly a rat and they have the nerve to have a 5 rating by the Department of Health, I can only think other people might have eaten rat.”,” Rosemary Thomas posted on Facebook Sunday morning along with a picture of the offending food, claiming Popeyes' location at 145th St. and Frederick Douglass Blvd. served the meal to her family.

The U.S Department of Health and Mental Hygiene inspected the Popeyes on April 21 and gave it an A grade, however, three previous check-ins since 2013 have found “evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas.”

Woman hit, knocked to ground by catfish that fell from the sky

A 5-pound catfish fell from the sky near a Philadelphia museum and smacked a woman in the face, knocking her to the ground.

Lisa Lobree says she suffered a cut near her eye and that the experience was probably one of the strangest things to ever happen to her, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Saturday.

“Suddenly, I was slammed by something,” she told the paper. “I was like, ‘What?!’ I was freaking out.”

Lobree says the catfish coldcocked her on Labor Day as she was walking near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Passers-by saw it happen.

Her husband reported what happened on Facebook that day.

The best explanation is that a large bird caught the fish and accidentally dropped it on her.

‘Woman attempts to set neighbour ablaze in Lagos’

A 27-year-old woman, Achonu Ugochi, was on Monday arraigned before a Surulere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly threatening to pour petrol on another woman and set her ablaze.

The woman, who lives in Orile-Iganmu, Lagos, is facing a four counts bordering on assault and threat to life.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Christopher Okoliko, insisted that the accused committed the offences at about 4:30pm on August 19 at Orile-Iganmu, Lagos.

According to him, the accused and the complainant, Chinyere Okpalla, reside in the same compound.

Okoliko said, “There was a disagreement between them which led to exchange of blows.

“The accused flogged the complainant with a stick causing her serious injuries,” he said.

“The accused did not only flog her with the stick, but also threatened to pour petrol on her with the intent to set her ablaze.

“The accused also detained the complainant and her family in her house by locking the gate to their apartment with a padlock, thereby depriving them of their liberty.”

The offences contravened Section 56 (a), 170 and 270 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Sections 56 (a) and 170 provide one year imprisonment, while Section prescribes two years for deprivation of liberty.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety.

The Magistrate, Mrs. M. Dan-Oni, fixed August 28 for mention.

Woman stabs husband for drinking her last beer

45-year-old Tracey Lee Giffin allegedly flew into a rage when she woke up from a nap and discovered her last can in the house was gone.

Gaffin, from the US state of Pennsylvania, reportedly grabbed a pair of scissors and used them to slash at her 59-year-old husband.

Cops say she also bit him during the alleged attack.

Trib Live reports that she has now been charged with aggravated assault, assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Her husband is said to have suffered cuts to his chest, stomach and neck.

Police also say they found bite marks on his arms and thumb.

It was also revealed Gaffin has had a previous run-in with the law over an item of food.

According to KDKA, she and her then-boyfriend got into a fight because she forgot to buy barbecue sauce on her way home on Christmas Eve in 2013.

The report says she bit the unnamed man on the nose and hand, and suffered an eye injury herself.

She is currently being held in Fayette County Jail ahead of a preliminary hearing.

Police arrest two women having sex in park

Police have arrested and charged two semi-naked women for having sex in a park.

Exeter Crown Court heard the two drunk women were found at Pilton Park in Barnstaple on the ground and performing sex acts on each other.

31-year-old Martina Loosemore and Anita Hare, 45, both of Barnstaple, North Devon, admitted outraging public decency.

The judge, Phillip Wassall, will be sentencing Hare next month while Loosemore’s sentencing was deferred for three months.

The judge told Loosemore he was delaying her sentence to give her a chance to work on her alcohol problem.

Witnesses said they were shocked and disgusted by the indecency displayed by the  women and children were present nearby.

Two police officers who arrived said they observed them practicing the lewd act.

Woman is filmed riding on a bike dressed in just her panties

 

Motorists in the western Russian city of Kaluga were shocked to see an
almost naked woman riding as a passenger on a bike. Except for her
helmet, panties and a pair of trainers, she was completely naked.

In a video posted online, the young woman seemed to be enjoying herself
and even swung her body towards a neighbouring car at a road
intersection, so the driver could slap her bottom.

Despite her antics, it appears both passenger and driver will escape sanction.

A Russian police spokesman in a press statement said:

"The girl was riding in her panties but she did not show her breasts as
she was leaning into the biker and her breasts were covered by his back.
It is not an offence, we have women walking in the streets in more
provocative garments with uncovered backs. It would be an offence if she
were to walk naked on the streets, but in this case we cannot do
anything."

Online opinion on the matter has been divided with some people saying
they love the show while others say she could been a distraction to
drivers and easily have caused an accident.
