APC responsible for Nigeria’s woes, says Okorocha

The Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, on Monday admitted that the All Progressives Congress is responsible for Nigeria’s woes.
He said although some of the problems predated the present administration, the party must take responsibility without shifting blame.
Okorocha spoke with State House correspondents shortly after leading the APC governors to a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governor said, “As APC, we are responsible for everything happening in Nigeria. We are responsible for the good, the bad, the ugly but we are promising Nigerians that we shall fix it.”
While admitting that Nigerians were passing through difficult times, Okorocha said there was no surgery that is not painful.
He said Nigerians were experiencing pains because the country was going through what he called “a very serious economic surgery.”
The governor asked Nigerians to be more patient with the present administration.
He said, “We share the pains of Nigerians, every human being must feel it. We also feel what they are going through but we are asking for a little patience.
“Let us do things the right way and do it once and for all. I am sure that by next year, you will begin to see changes, the price of rice will drop, prices of dollars will begin to stabilise and we will see a lot of challenges.
“But at this painful moment, nobody likes it. It is like a woman in the labour room, when she is in the labour room there is no joy but she has to pass through that moment and that moment, she does not wear her high heel shoes, no makeup, no champagne, no party.
“She is going through a process but shortly after that process, joy cometh once she sees the child. So, Nigerians should bear with us as a government.”
Okorocha said the governors discussed a lot of national issues at the meeting including the 21 released Chibok girls, agriculture, the ongoing anti-corruption war and the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State with the President.

Mourinho To Conte: Stop Humiliating United With Your Goal Celebration

Jose Mourinho has accused Antonio Conte of humiliating Manchester United with his touchline behaviour during Chelsea’s 4-0 victory on Sunday.
Mourinho, who was facing the Blues for the first time since parting ways with the club last season, was humbled on his return to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea ran riot in front of their home support.
Pedro opened the scoring for the hosts after just 31 seconds, before Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard put Chelsea firmly in control of the match. However, it was N’Golo Kante’s fourth goal – and the manner of Conte’s typically wild celebrations that followed – to which Mourinho took exception.
At the final whistle the Portuguese shook hands with Conte before appearing to attack the Italian for his celebrations in the wake of Kante’s strike. “It’s my opinion, but you do it at 1-0 – not at 4-0,’ Mourinho seemed to tell Conte in Italian. ‘That’s humiliation for us.’
However, in his post-match interview, Mourinho refused to confirm what exactly he had said to Conte and insisted the matter was solely between the two managers.  ‘It was with Antonio, not with you,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports. ‘Of course not… I was speaking with Antonio, not with you. I am sorry.’
The controversial incident capped a miserable day for the United manager, who watched Pedro put the hosts ahead inside 31 seconds. Cahill was allowed to add a soft second from inside the six-yard box soon after, before Hazard grabbed a goal his performance deserved with a fine finish from 14 yards out. The Belgium international then set up Kante for Chelsea’s fourth – sparking Conte into a typically frenetic celebration with his technical staff on the touchline.
Mourinho admitted his side paid a heavy price for early individual mistakes and, as a result, were picked off on the counter-attack in the second half. “We made incredible defensive mistakes,’ he said. ‘Individual defensive mistakes and you pay for that. Then if you equalise after the 1-0 or if you score the 2-1 after the 2-0 you have a big chance because in terms of football the team was quite comfortable.
“We knew we were going to have space with our full-backs because of the way they play. We did that in the second half and we played with Marcus Rashford through the middle to create more mobility from Zlatan’s position.
“We played with just two midfield players and we had no problems at all and we had control of the game. But the control is a bit dangerous because Chelsea have great players on the counter-attack who are just waiting for that.”
Despite the manner of his side’s defeat, Mourinho remained optimistic over United’s chances of success this season and pointed to, what he perceives to be, a favourable run of upcoming league fixtures.
“In terms of points it is zero points,’ he said. ‘When you lose 1-0 or 4-0 you lose three points, you don’t lose four, five or six points. You lose three points.  “We are six points from the top of the league and we are I think maybe three or four from the top four. We now need to win matches. We had a week with two matches away to two candidates – Liverpool and Chelsea – and now other teams from the top five have to play between themselves.
“We need to win our matches which are not easy but we play Burnley, we play Swansea, we play West Ham and we need to win matches to close the gap. After these last three matches in the league we have two draws and one defeat. We made two points out of nine. Now what we need is points.”
Mourinho will be hoping to see his side bounce back at the first time of asking when United face cross-city rivals Manchester City in the League Cup on Wednesday evening.  Chelsea, meanwhile, are also in League Cup action that night as they travel across London to face West Ham.

65-year-old man rapes two-year-old girl

A 65-year-old man, Emeka Asibirionwu, has been arrested for allegedly raping a two-year-old girl at Oriendu, near Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The Abia Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade, who addressed newsmen on Monday in Umuahia said the suspect was arrested on September 28.
Oyebade said that Asibirionwu was “arrested when the victim’s mother raised the alarm on sighting her daughter crying, while blood and fluid were gushing out from her private part.”
He said the victim’s mother reportedly kept the minor in the custody of the suspect, who was her neighbour, when the incident happened.
The suspect, however, denied the allegation in an interview with newsmen.
He said that he was in his house around 10 p.m. when the victim’s mother accosted him, screaming and accusing him of having defiled her daughter.
He said that he declined the demand that he should provide the money for the victim’s medical treatment because he knew he was innocent of the allegation. (NAN)

Buhari should not have appointed Kemi Adeosun as Finance Minister – Reno Omokri

Former Special Assistant on new media to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint capable hands into his cabinet.
In a message he posted on his social media handle on Sunday, Reno said, “With all due respect, Kemi Adeosun cannot be able to pullout the economic magic that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will pullout.
“For example, the President took about six months to set a cabinet after which he replaced Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala with Kemi Adeosun who has a bachelor degree in economics from the University of East London. I schooled in London and I know that the University is not a really well ranked university.‎
“Moreso this is someone who has just a degree in economics and post graduate diploma which is not as high as bachelors.
“Now you had someone who has a PHD in regional and economic development and worked as a Managing Director at the World Bank and also a former Minister of Finance replaced by Kemi who I have nothing against in a difficult period like this. You need to put your best hands.
“She is a very nice woman but as a leader, you have to be unsentimental and take hard decisions. Nigeria is in recession and we need our best hands.
“It doesn’t matter if they are PDP or APC, they don’t have to be politicians as long as they are the best hands, bring them on to help you achieve what you can`t do by yourself.
“If we keep looking at who to blame, we will not be able to solve the present recession and fix it in the shortest possible time. Therefore it is very important we look beyond blame and try to resolve this recession.”

Charlie Puth has cancelled the remaining dates on his 'don't talk' tour

The 24-year-old singer has pulled out of shows in Nashville, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Denver and Los Angeles because he is "extremely sick" and needs to rest.
He tweeted: "Unfortunately I have to cancel the remaining dates on my 'Don't Talk' tour. This is the last thing I want to do because I love being on the road performing and meeting every one of you. You are the reason I can do what I love most for a living and I am so thankful.

I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven't taken the time my body needs to recover. Resting and taking time off the road is the only way I can get better and start performing for you again.

I promise I will do whatever I can to make it up to you. I love you so much. I'm deeply sorry. Charlie."
Earlier this month, Charlie tweeted a picture of himself sick in bed after he had to pull out of a show because he had the flu and had lost his voice.

Meanwhile, the star admitted he used to "cringe" if he hit a flat note while performing but no longer worries about sounding perfect live as his "energy" can carry him through.

Drake will release new music in december

The 30-year-old rapper previewed three new songs on his Apple Music OVO Sound radio show on Sunday (23.10.16), stating they will all appear on his new project 'More Life', set for release in December.
Speaking on the show, the 'Hotline Bling' hitmaker described the project as a "playlist" of original songs from both himself, and the collaborators from his OVO label.

He said: "I'm off mixtapes, you know? I wanna do a playlist, I wanna give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life. So this is more like the playlist. Like I said, dropping in December, all original music from me, but you may hear some tunes from the family on there."
The 'One Dance' rapper then previewed the tracks - named 'Two Birds One Stone', 'Fake Love', and 'Sneakin' - alongside a remix to rapper Dave's 'Wanna Know'.

Speaking about the tracks, he said: "I just wanna celebrate life. 'More Life', that's what we live by. That's something that we don't take for granted. So today, like I said you're getting some new music. I'm not going to tell you how many songs it is, I'm just going to let you hear it. I know most people think I'm dropping like one song, but you know me, I like to make all the listeners and all the fans happy."
The rapper - who has just wrapped his 'Summer Sixteen Tour' in North America after having to postpone the last three dates due to an ankle injury - admitted he isn't ready to take a break just yet.

He said: "I'm just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer, and most people I guess would probably go and take a break but for me I just wanted to get right back to it." Drake also took to Instagram to share the artwork for the new project.

The caption read: "More Life new project dropping in DECEMBER (sic)"

Bag of rice will sell for N5, 000, dollar will exchange for N150, fuel for N30 – Prophet Okeowo

Prophet Ade Okeowo of Word of Liberty Evangelical Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has revealed that Nigeria will soon experience a turnaround as prices on commodities will crash in no time, stating that God did not, however, specify that the revelation would come to pass under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.
He specifically mentioned that God told him the cost of bag of rice and fuel, will be drastically reduced.
He made this revelation in a chat with Encomium, urging Nigerians to stop casting blames on President Buhari, as he needed time to fix the country.
He said, “That’s what God has revealed to me. Listen to me attentively; I am not speaking my words but God’s.
“Now, people buy rice N25, 000 per bag but God told me that we’re going to buy a bag of rice as cheap as N5, 000. A US dollar will exchange for as low as N150 and fuel will sell for as low as N30 or N40 per litre. That’s what God said will happen in this country.”
Asked if his prophecies will come to pass during Buhari’s administration, the cleric said, “God didn’t tell me that one but He revealed to me all of these and more beautiful things will happen after all the pain, but Buhari’s efforts will lead to that.
“Nigeria will be forced to a stage of break up but God will intervene.”
The Prophet further noted that Buhari is not to blame for the economic woes.
He said, “We should not blame anybody. People should not even hold Buhari responsible at all. From what God has revealed to me, He sent Buhari to Nigerians as an angel.
“God has also revealed to me that Buhari shouldn’t be worried, that everything will soon be alright. God showed me that Nigeria is like a second hand car (Tokunbo). We all know that if you buy a second hand car, it’s surely not in a perfect state. You will be fixing this today, that tomorrow until it’s fully fit. And it’s not something that will be done overnight.
“We all need to understand that if we want the country to move forward. Buhari is the one buying all the spare parts to repair the damaged car called Nigeria. By the time he completes the repair, the vehicle will move and everybody will enjoy it. That’s just the parable of Nigeria’s situation now.
“Everything will soon be alright. There are many Josephs that God is going to use to uplift this country, and Buhari is one of them.”
Recalling the other prophecies of his that have also come to pass in recent times, the Prophet said, “I predicted the Olympic soccer final. I said Germany would defeat Nigeria, it came to pass. I even said it’s going to be 2-0. I said the gold medal was for Brazil, they all came to pass.
“I predicted President Jonathan would lose the 2015 presidential election, a lot of people didn’t believe it. Even some prophets almost bet their lives on it that Buhari would lose, but it was revealed to me that Buhari would win and he won.
“Even, God revealed to me that no matter what other governorship candidates in Oyo do, Abiola Ajimobi will emerge victorious and it came to pass. I still have a message for him.”
The father of two concluded by saying “God told me to warn Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to beware of the way he chose his commissioners so that they will not destroy his government.
“Also, Governor Amosun of Ogun State should be careful of some people in the state, because some of them are hell bent in destroying his government as well.”

Colin Farrell had never read the 'harry potter' books until he had to play a role

The Irish actor plays the role of Percival Graves, the director of security at the Magical Congress of the United States of America, in the eagerly-awaited new movie, which is based on J.K. Rowling's book of the same name.
Colin revealed he has never read J.K's most popular books but is a self-confessed fan of the 'Harry Potter' film series.

He shared: "There are a few films where in they're on the television, I just can't turn them off, they're just so comforting; and any 'Harry Potter 'series qualifies as one of those films. "It's just such a beautiful and immersive world, that pays due respect to human emotions. I would be a liar if I said being in a trailer where that score kicks in didn't get me excited. I'm 40 and I shouldn't say such things."
Colin also revealed he was captivated by the script for the new movie, which is due out in November.

Asked how he prepared for his role, Colin told SFX magazine: "Imagination. Mine and J.K. Rowling's and (director) David Yates'. The script was very descriptive and beautiful and filled with all these machinations of magic.

"You can only twirl a wand around in your hotel for so long until you feel like an idiot because... nothing's happening. It can't even change the channel."

Miss Bumbum contestants portray Christ and his disciples Last Supper painting in their bikinis

Brazil’s Miss Bumbum beauty pageant has sparked controversy after hopefuls posed for a raunchy portrayal of iconic religious painting The Last Supper.

The photo shows eight hopefuls in the country’s popular ‘rear of the year’ contest portraying Christ and his disciplines – with the sexiest girl posing as Jesus.
Religious leaders branded the remake of the Da Vinci masterpiece “deeply disrespectful” and even Brazil’s religious intolerance commission condemned the picture.
Even one of the women involved said she regretted posing for the shot and said she had “asked forgiveness from God for a great sin”.
Daiana Fegueredo, representing the state of Ceara, was chosen to play Jesus in the photo as her bottom received the most number of phone votes, making her the frontrunner in the race for the coveted title.

But she said she now regrets agreeing to taking part:
“I did the photo because of my contract. But I didn’t like it and I wasn’t happy about it. You can’t play around with the word of God.
I completely understand people being angry about it, because even I’m angry and I’m in it. For me it is blasphemy.”I feel really bad deep inside of me. I’m a practising Catholic. Since I did the photo my heart is tight inside my chest, I can’t sleep and I don’t stop thinking about it. I’ve already asked forgiveness from God, and I ask forgiveness from everyone else. We went too far. We were part of a great sin.”
Father Clesio Vieira, from the Volta Redonda diocese of Rio de Janeiro, said the photo has caused “great offence” to Catholics.
“Everyone’s talking about it. It has broken the boundaries of ethics and respect, all in the name of money. This isn’t creativity, it’s the vulgarisation of the sacred and is deeply disrespectful.”
Assistant bishop of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Augusto Dias Duarte, also criticised the photos, saying he was against any images showing women’s bottoms, “whatever the setting”.
He added: “Women need to be valued for their role as a wife, mother, professional, and for her intellectual and cultural qualities.”

Dangote sacks 36 expatriates, 12 Nigerians

The current recession rocking the Nigerian economy has hit one of the biggest employers of labour in the country outside of the government as the Dangote Group, belonging to Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has fired 48 members of staff.
Our correspondents gathered that those sacked were made up of 36 expatriate and 12 Nigerian workers from the group’s headquarters and one of the subsidiaries, Dangote Cement Plc.
Though no official of the group was willing to speak on the matter on Sunday, one of our correspondents gathered from highly placed sources that the decision to sack the workers was not unconnected with the current high cost of running business in the country occasioned by the unavailability of foreign exchange and the unprecedented hike in the naira to dollar exchange rate.
It was further gathered that the huge amounts in foreign currencies being paid to the expatriate workers had become a burden on Dangote due to the steady depreciation in the value of the naira and the difficulties of raising enough dollars.
Consequently, the industrialist, according to sources, has decided to replace the expatriates with Nigerians, who have acquired the requisite experience on the job, as paying them in naira will be less problematic.
For the affected Nigerians, it was gathered that most of them had disciplinary issues, which made it easy for the group to do away with their services.
When contacted on Sunday, the Group Head, Corporate Communications, Dangote Group, Tony Chiejina, said he could not speak on the development.
However, in a letter signed by the President/Chief Executive Officer, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, dated Thursday, October 20, 2016,the firm stated that it was constrained to take the “tough” decision as economic factors had affected the cost of production.
The letter, which was titled: ‘Recent Retirement Exercise’, however, appreciated those affected for their contributions to the growth of the group.
The letter read in part, “This year has been a very challenging year for us as a business. The unavailability of foreign exchange coupled with an unprecedented hike in the exchange rate has resulted in increased costs across the organisation.
“This called for a proper review and adjustment of our costs across board to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the deployment of our factors of production in a bid to eliminate redundancies that we know exist, which resulted in some tough decisions, which means losing staff, including some of our colleagues.
“On Friday, October 14, 2016, we began the process of staff cutbacks as it is imperative to review our human capital deployment for the required cutbacks that would ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancies in the allocation of human resources.
“This first phase of this exercise involved the cutback of 36 expatriate staff across the Dangote Cement Plc and Dangote Industries Limited, and 12 local staff members in Dangote Industries Limited.”
As an organisation with international operations, the group promised that it would continue to review and restructure its human capital deployment to ensure “optimal allocation of skill sets and size of the workforce each function requires.”
The group urged the workers to shun lateness, improper dressing and other unsavoury behaviours in the workplace.
Bloomberg had in its latest ‘Billionaire Index’ reported that Dangote had lost $5.4bn of his fortune this year due to the fall in the value of the naira and the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria to ration dollars to stem huge capital outflows in the wake of Nigeria’s worst economic crisis.
Dangote had recently urged the Federal Government to sell off the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company and other dormant but huge capital-generating enterprises and reinvest the proceeds in the economy to bring the country out of the current economic recession before the end of the fourth quarter.
Dansa Foods Nigeria Limited, which claims to be a member of the Dangote Group, has reportedly been unable to pay its workers for the past six months.
The company is being run by Alhaji Sani Dangote, a brother of Aliko, who is the Executive Chairman, with Aliko’s shares embedded in the firm.
Multiple sources in the Dangote Group claimed that Dansa Foods was not part of the group but was an independent company owned and run by Aliko’s brother.
However, in a statement announcing its participation at the just concluded Lagos International Trade Fair, the group listed some of its subsidiaries as Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Agrosacks, NASCON Allied Industries Plc (Dangote Salt), Dangote Rice Limited, Dangote Cement Plc and Dansa Foods Limited.
It was reported that the company, which produces Dansa Juice and other goods, had laid off more than half of the workforce following dwindling sales and high cost of production caused by high exchange rate of the naira.
It was gathered that the company had suspended the production of Dansa Juice and other products, and was only producing Mowa Bottle Water.

Man charged with stabbing person during church service

A 65-year-old South Carolina man is charged with stabbing the person sitting in front of him in church.
Local media outlets report Billy Lewis of Wedgefield, about 35 miles east of Columbia, is charged with attempted murder for stabbing a man during services Sunday at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Authorities have not identified the victim. He was airlifted to a hospital in Columbia with severe injuries.
Witnesses told Sumter County Sheriff's deputies that Lewis stood about 9:30 a.m. and began stabbing the man in front of him in the back and head for no apparent reason. A nurse attending the service helped the victim until emergency responders arrived.
Deputies say Lewis has a history of mental health issues, but that hasn't included violence.

Bailly suffers knee injury

Jose Mourinho has admitted he fears Eric Bailly was "badly injured" during Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday.
The Ivory Coast defender was forced off with a problem on 52 minutes and was replaced by Marcos Rojo.
The Reds boss confirmed afterwards that Bailly has a knee issue which could be serious.
"He is injured and I am afraid he is badly injured," Mourinho told reporters at the post-match press conference. "In his knee, in the ligament area. He feels it is really bad."
Marouane Fellaini also appeared to pick up a knock following a high tackle from David Luiz just before half-time which earned the Chelsea defender a booking. The United midfielder did not return to the fray for the second half, with Juan Mata coming on in his place.

Wayne Rooney was absent from Sunday's match squad due to an injury he suffered in the Reds' last training session. The club captain had felt a problem during the Fenerbahce game but played on in his determination to complete 90 minutes.

Why it is too early to write off Man Utd's title hopes - Phil Neville

Manchester United made a disastrous start against Chelsea on Sunday - and got worse as the game went on.
From what I saw from United in their 4-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, I don't think they are anywhere near the level that their manager Jose Mourinho wants them to be at, and it will probably take them a lot more time to get there.
But what I would add is that they have come out of a period of tough games, and they are going into a spell where their fixtures look a lot more winnable. Mourinho said so himself afterwards.

The next few weeks are an important time for them because you don't win the league by beating the clubs around you - you win it by beating everyone else.
That is what United have to do now, and they have to be more ruthless because draws will not be enough - for me, when they were held at home by Stoke at the start of October, it was almost as disappointing as Sunday's defeat.
In the next few weeks, United are at home to Arsenal but also play Burnley, Swansea and West Ham. Even if they only win those three games, then their world is a brighter place.
Yes, United need to go on a run to make up the ground they have lost but they are only six points off the top of the table and we have already seen things can change very quickly in the title race
After a great start, leaders Manchester City have gone three games without a win and look like they have lost confidence. I don't see a side playing with any rhythm or fluidity.
And it looked like Tottenham's victory over City had launched their season - but they have drawn both their league games since.
It is one of those years where there is not going to be a runaway winner, so United just have to stay in touch at the top.
What Chelsea have done recently is an example of why it is far too early to write United's season off.
After the first six games of the season, which saw them struggle defensively and lose to Liverpool and Arsenal, I was wondering what their new manager Antonio Conte was doing. His team looked like the same old Chelsea who struggled last year.
But then Conte changed to the 3-5-2 formation that has brought him such success with Juventus and Italy, and they have not looked back.
In three games since, against Hull, Leicester and now United they have scored nine goals, kept three clean sheets and picked up nine points.
All of a sudden, their forward players are playing with freedom - plus they have a solid foundation behind them with their three centre-halves plus N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in midfield.
Hazard in particular has benefited because he is taking up much better positions and is having a greater effect on games for the full 90 minutes because the defensive responsibility is totally off him.

While Chelsea look like they have found the formation and system that suits them, United are still searching for theirs.
It looked like they might have found it against Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night when they were hard to beat, solid, aggressive and a threat going forward.
They still created chances against Chelsea on Sunday but pretty much everything else went out of the window - they were opened up far too easily and did not have the same aggression.
While Monday's 0-0 draw was a fantastic defensive performance, where United looked like they wanted to defend and enjoyed it, against Chelsea they did neither.
Conceding the first goal after only 30 seconds killed their game-plan but they made things worse after that by trying to chase the game.
Instead of being hard to break down it looked like they were trying to play their way out of trouble and it played into Chelsea's hands.
The Blues were not bothered about United having more possession because they knew the more they had of the more ball, the wider open they would be when they hit them on the counter-attack.
As the game went on, United took too many chances at the back and looked extremely vulnerable.
They became ragged and their players lost concentration, which is something you would never normally associate with a Mourinho side, and Chelsea's third goal epitomised United's poor defensive display.
Yes, it was a good pass from Nemanja Matic to give Eden Hazard the chance to take on Chris Smalling inside the area but you would not normally find those gaps.
So, I am not surprised that the biggest thing Mourinho was disappointed about afterwards was the mistakes that led to all four of Chelsea's goals.
It is not as though the Blues continuously opened United up. Cut out those errors, and it would have been a much tighter game.

Thirteen die in California tour bus crash

Thirteen people have been killed and more than 30 injured in southern California after a tour bus ran into the back of a lorry, media reports say.
Most of the passengers are reported to be from Latin America.
The crash happened on Interstate 10 close to the resort town of Palm Springs in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Investigators are examining the cause of the crash, which happened as the bus was bound for Los Angeles.
Rescuers used ladders to climb into the bus windows to remove bodies. Five of the injured passengers are in critical condition.

The Los Angeles Times described the crash as the deadliest in California for several decades. It said that the bus careered into the rear of the truck at high speed, mangling the front third of the bus.
Most of those who died were apparently at the front of the bus, the newspaper reported. The driver was among the fatalities.
Officials quoted by the paper said that identifying the victims could take days, because some were not carrying identity cards or had lost their belongings when they were taken to hospital.
They have warned that it may not be possible to determine exactly why the accident happened because of the driver's death.
Investigators will assess whether he might have fallen asleep or had a heart attack, in addition to determining if there was a mechanical failure or some other kind of emergency.
The westbound lanes of the interstate were closed near the crash site but are now reported to have been reopened.
According to the Desert Sun newspaper, the tour bus, run by US Holiday, was coming from Red Earth Casino, near Salton City in California.
The small Los Angeles-based company, runs trips to casinos in California and Las Vegas. The driver of the bus was one of the owners of the tour company.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration records show the company had one vehicle and one driver. According to the data the company held a satisfactory safety rating and had not been in a crash for two years.

Senior Egypt military officer shot dead near Cairo

A senior Egyptian army officer was shot dead outside his home in a Cairo suburb on Saturday, a military official and a relative told AFP.
Jihadists have killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers, mostly in the Sinai Peninsula, but such attacks on senior officers are rare.
Brigadier General Adel Ragaei, who commanded an armoured division deployed in the Sinai, died in a hail of bullets as he left his home in the Obour City suburb, sister-in-law Huda Zein Elabedine told AFP.
A little-known group called Liwa al-Thawra claimed the attack, in a message posted on Twitter.
“At 06:00 they killed him. I can’t tell you if it was six or twelve bullets. It was before he could get into his car,” Elabedine said.
A military official told AFP that the officer has been “martyred”.
He did not provide further details.
Deadly insurgency
Liwa al-Thawra said a “group of our fighters” shot the officer in the head and made off with his weapon. The claim could not be independently verified.
The apparently Islamist group had previously claimed responsibility for an attack on a police checkpoint in August, posting footage of the shooting on the internet.
Jihadists loyal to the Islamic State group are waging a deadly insurgency in the Sinai Peninsula, which borders Israel and the Gaza Strip.
They have also claimed attacks in or near Cairo, including the abduction and murder of a Croatian oil worker and the bombing of the Italian consulate in 2015.
Other lesser-known groups have also conducted attacks since the army overthrew Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in 2013 and cracked down on his supporters.
One group, which calls itself the Hasam Movement, has claimed several attacks in or near Cairo, including the assassination of a police officer and the attempted killing of a senior prosecutor.

The very first position I want to discuss with you in this article is called the lying face down position.
Lying face down is a superb S3@.x:’ position to have an unforgettable org@.$m for both partners. In this position, the man is on top and he penetrates from the back. The woman lays-on bed with her face in downward direction. She lifts her butts upward in front of man and usually she doesn’t open her legs. This position is good for you to please your woman in bed as the legs of your woman remain closed and you can enjoy more stimulation because there is more friction with woman’s legs closed.

2. Doggy-style:
This one is very popular and so many people still don’t understand the position very well. Well, Doggy-style position is a well-known and tested position to please women in efficient way.
This position also gives the woman a powerful org@.$m quite earlier and in a raunchy way. This is a different and one of the most distinct S3@.x:’ positions as this is used by many creatures other than the human beings on this earth. This S3@.x:’ position is also suggested to the men who want to calm down their extra S3@.x:’ual excitement and hence they can last longer in bed also.

3. The Enhanced missionary position:
Missionary position is believed to be a common and old style of S3@.x:’. This is true also but although of its old origin, yet it still bears the most stimulating and pleasurable features that will allow you both to enjoy S3@.x:’. For this purpose, you need to add some new enhancement in it but to a little extent.
You need to lay her on the bed and get yourself up to her (at the top). Deviating from the normal style, you should open her legs wider. Do remember that in this enhanced missionary position, you do not need to hold her legs; however you need to punch on her passionately. This position will make her hips more moving and the penetration will go deeper than any other S3@.x:’ual position. In this way you can really please your woman in bed.

4. Reverse Cowgirl:
Is she shy but still wants to take control? Then this is the best bet. Just like the woman-on-top, she straddles him, but in this case, it is with her back to him. It is great for the more timid woman as she can face away from her partner and focus on her own pleasure. She does not have to feel insecure about being watched if she is not very comfortable with her body.
5. Raunchy Rocker:
The staple for strippers worldwide. In this position, the man sits on a sturdy, armless chair as the woman climbs aboard and bring them both to bliss. She gets to show off her sensual moves and he gets to just enjoy the show. To make things even hotter, foreplay could consist of her slowly offering a striptease show.

AC Milan beat Juventus for the first time in four years

Manuel Locatelli's goal helped AC Milan beat Juventus for the first time since November 2012 and close the gap at the top of Serie A to two points.
The 18-year-old midfielder struck a spectacular, powerful effort from the edge of the box into the top corner.
Earlier, Juve thought they had taken the lead when Miralem Pjanic's long-range free-kick went into the net.
After a lengthy delay, as the officials discussed whether a Juventus player was offside, it was disallowed.
Juventus piled on the pressure in the second half and almost equalised with the last kick of the game.
German midfielder Sami Khedira unleashed a long-range effort which looked destined for the top corner only for 17-year-old Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to produce a spectacular one-hand diving save.

UNILORIN PhD graduand dies on convocation day

A postgraduate student of Arabic at the University of Ilorin, AbdulHafeez Adedimeji, died on Saturday, the day he was to receive his doctorate at a convocation.
Sources told our correspondent that another doctoral graduand died shortly before the ceremony.
Soon after the Dean, Faculty of Post Graduate Studies, Prof. Badmas Yusuf, informed attendants of the graduands’ demise, a gloomy atmosphere enveloped the lively UNILORIN auditorium where the 32nd graduation activities were being held.
Adedimeji, who until his death was a lecturer at the Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun State, was among 166 receiving doctoral degrees at the convocation.
He was said to have arrived in Ilorin for the convocation not long before his death.
The Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, said 67 of the 6,069 graduands for first degrees were first class, adding that it was an improvement on last year’s 41 first-class graduands.
He explained that 1,505 merited second-class upper division, compared to 1,234 last year; 3,200, second-class lower division; 1,124, third class; and 70, pass.
He stated that 1,903 postgraduate students, 8,038 first degree students and 68 diploma students graduated on Friday and Saturday, being the first two days of the 32nd convocation.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the Visitor to the university, assured Nigerians that the country would overcome the ongoing economic recession.
Buhari, who was represented by the Deputy Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Prof. Chiedu Mafiana, said recession was not peculiar to Nigeria, adding that many other countries in the world were facing similar challenges.
According to the President, the recession was brought about by the collective failure of Nigerians as a people, dependency on oil exports to the exclusion of other products, insatiable appetite for foreign goods and services, including importation of food, corruption and lack of proper planning.
The President said his administration was doing everything possible to restructure the economy and change the nation’s ways of doing things.
The Visitor reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve to steer the attitude and values of  the citizens, especially the youth, towards positive direction.
He stated that the responsibilities and obligations of university teachers in achieving this goal could not be overstated.
The NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Rasheed Adamu, who was also represented by Mafiana, stated that he was saddened and dismayed by what he termed the growing tension and animosity in various university campuses.
